Red Seal Baking Soda Toothpaste

Where I got it: I got sent this for review (how lovely, I use up toothpaste rather fast) but you can get these from your local supermarket!

What I got: This is 100g tube of Red Seal’s Baking Soda Toothpaste. Baking soda is well known for its whitening and cleansing properties, I have also tried the baking soda blackhead scrub which is rather cheap and effective! So when this toothpaste came to me, I was quite excited because I drink heaps of tea at work and it seems to stain my teeth. I love my teeth and I brush my teeth twice a day, morning and night no matter how sleepy I am.

Above: Please excuse my less than sexy and new-looking toothbrush. I really do use the life out of it.

How I find it: I don’t think I need to explain how I brush my teeth.. I just squeeze a good amount of toothpaste on my toothbrush and start brushing away! The tube itself is a little matte to the touch, but it is easy to grip and the cap is easy to flip out. The toothpaste itself tastes a little salty rather than sweet and it does not really foam up (kind of like toothpaste for sensitive teeth I think). It doesn’t fizz if that’s what you’re thinking. It’s not very minty which I am just a little disappointed about. I love a strong minty fresh breath after brushing my teeth.

Overall: The stain removing powers may take longer than using half a tube (I have a weird habit of grinning my teeth in the mirror every single time after I brush my teeth and I do find it whiter every time after I brush), but I like the clean mouth feeling after brushing and that it is paraben free and it uses herbal and mineral ingredients.

I’ve seen this in the supermarket, but never tried it as I was worried it would taste like baking soda! I love the fact that its natural!

I love the Red Seal Natural and the Smokers one. The natural one tastes so good!

Is either the natural or smoker one quite minty? I love a minty toothpaste but this one is a little less minty as I would like it to be.
