Where I got it: I got this from a Etude House store while traveling in Hong Kong for HKD $58 which us about NZD $9. This is not available in New Zealand, but I think you can find them online. Etude House is a Korean brand that is quite popular in Hong Kong right now. Their packaging is cute and sweet and their products are really affordable.
What I got: This is a 9g tube of Fresh Cherry Lip Tint by Etude House in OR201 Cherry Peach. It also comes in 3 other colours. Lip tint is very popular in Asia right now where it gives you pigment to your lips that looks super natural and great for that no-makeup makeup look. Cherry Peach is a light pinky coral shade that looks quite light in the applicator and I was worried that it will not show up on my pigmented lips.
How I find it: I usually exfoliate my lips every 3-4 days and before using this lip tint, I use a lip balm then gently wipe off the excess. The tint feels cool to the lips and kind of a gel texture. The colour is buildable but it does not get thick and sticky on the lips. With one coat, you will see a small difference depending on your natural lip colour. With a second coat, the texture starts to get a little lip gloss-like. I would recommend applying a second coat after the first coat has settled for about 5 minutes if you want to build up colour. The lip tint has a light scent of cherries which is really pleasant to use.
Overall: I love it, I like to use this when I am going for a no-makeup makeup look and very simple eye makeup. The coral shade brightens up my complexion and makes me look younger. The effect of the tint makes my entire makeup very natural and effortless, I don’t have to worry about continuous re-application and it is not drying as your usual long-lasting lip colours. I should have bought more different colours when I had the chance… I’ll keep an eye out on my online suppliers!
