Where I got it: I was sent this from Linden Leaves as part of their online ambassador program (check out my previous post here). You can purchase Linden Leaves products from their Parnell shop, online and selected pharmacies.
What I got: This is Linden Leaves Herbalist rosemary and cypress shampoo and balm mint and tangerine conditioner (both 40ml RRP$12.99, 300ml full size RRP$29.99). Soothe your senses with this delicious natural herbal blend that will take care of your scalp and promote healthy hair. It’s great for daily use, Rosemary and Cypress make hair shine and are gentle on chemically treated hair too! The perfect companion to our Herbalist Shampoo is the Balm Mint and Tangerine Conditioner. You have to take a whiff of the moisturising blend yourself because it smells divine! Citrusy, calming and just slightly minty, it will deeply moisturise to give you luscious locks; free of split ends. Suitable for daily use and on chemically treated hair. Both shampoo and conditioners contains 0% Parabens, Sodium Lauryl Sulphate and is Synthetic Free.
How I find it: I use this as normal shampoo and conditioner. The shampoo almost smells like men’s shower gel – it smells pretty refreshing. After rinsing off the shampoo, I shake out a good amount of conditioner (I like to use a decent amount because I have dry hair) and I apply it from the mid lengths to the ends, then to my roots area. The conditioner smells minty and citrusy like mandarins – love it! The conditioner is not too slippery on the hair and it is easy to rinse out. After towel drying my hair, my hair doesn’t feel too different – it doesn’t feel extra silky or smooth (because it does not contain silicon which gives you the silky, smooth feel to the hair surface), but my hair does feel clean.
Overall: I know with using organic and natural products for the hair, you may not see results straight away. But with consistent use, the no-paraben, no-Sodium Lauryl Sulphate formula will give my hair and scalp a good detox and avoid build up on nasties on my hair over time. One down side to these bottles are they are not soft so you can’t squeeze the product out. You have to shake the product out which is a bit annoying and hard to control.
