Where I got this: My dear friend Kiky gave me this as a souvenir when she returned from Hong Kong. I have been wanting thing for ages!! You can get these from your local Shiseido counters, online, etc. I think they are about $40-$50NZD
What is this: This is a Shiseido flat top foundation brush. It comes in a clear plastic box with a little plastic sleeve.
How I find this: I love this brush sooooo much! I have used a flat foundation brush before, but it always leaves brush marks which I need to blend further with my fingers. First time with this brush, I used a liquid foundation. I put the liquid foundation on the back of my hand, and then dab the brush lightly onto the liquid. I then dab it all over my face and then just blend gently outwards. It leaves NO brush marks at all and the finish is just super-natural!
Overall: The dense brush applies foundation with a very natural finish with very even distribution. The small brush head means you can access the side of your nose with ease. You don’t need to use a lot of product, just your usual amount would be enough. The instruction booklet also states that you can use this with a powder foundation which I have yet to try. Cleaning is easy, I just wash it with soap/shampoo, massage it back and forth, then rinse out and lay down to dry. This is my go-to foundation brush from now on and I will be using different types of foundation with this brush. I will be recommending this brush to everyone I know!
I’ve heard so much about this brush. obviously only good reviews! My friend got it on an amazing deal with a foundation kit. It made the brush almost free I believe. Great post! 🙂
Good on her! Have you tried it? By the way, I just followed you on twitter and thanks for visiting my blog!
Does the brush use a lot of product? As in do you feel that the brush absorbs more product than ends up on your face?
I did find it soaking up a bit of product of I use the brush to dab the liquid foundation on my face. But if I dab the foundation on my face with my fingers then use the brush to smooth it out, I don’t have any problems. 🙂
