Where I got it: I don’t remember where I got this, it must’ve been a gift in a goodie bag… But these are available in farmers and pharmacies.
What I got: This is a tube of Maybelline Volume Express One by One mascara in dark brown. The brush head is rather interesting. It is a rubber brush, fat in the middle and tapers at the top and bottom end. This is a water-washable formula, but it also comes in waterproof formula.
How I find it: I curl my lashes as usual and I use my lash card with this mascara. 2 coats will be good, I will need about 3 – 4 coats. This mascara claims to be clump-free, coats every lash with volume.
Overall: I usually don’t buy brown mascara because I like my lashes as black as possible. I was also skeptical about these normal mascaras because it would smudge and run to my under eyes like crazy. However, this held up quite nice! Of course it did run after around 8 hours, so by the time I get home after work, some will run to my under eye. As for separation and volumizing, I think it did an ok job. It started to clump after 3 coats, but not chunky. Removal is easy with removing wipes and eye makeup remover. Water also works, but I haven’t tried with oil yet.
