Where I got it: I got this in the May Glam box from Sample bar. You can purchase this at Life Pharmacy, Farmers, etc. This mascara will set you back $58 for a full size 6ml tube. I managed to try this mascara as soon as I got them (which was about 3 weeks ago), but post my review now because I want to try use it as much as I can to post a review.
What I got: This is a sample sized tube of the Lancome Hypnose Custom Volume mascara in black. Lancome has a few Hypnose mascaras and this also comes in deep black and brown. Good size to travel with.
How I find it: This small little mascara tube is great for travelling. This volumizing mascara has a special POWERFULL brush and a fluid SoftSculpt formula that allows layering without smudging, clumping or smearing. Doesn’t say whether it is waterproof or not though. I apply this as a usual mascara, 2-3 coats. I use an oil-base eye makeup remover to remove the mascara at the end of the day and it removes quite easily.
Overall: The brush is a normal straight brush with medium bristles, the volume is built up gently with 2 -3 coats. I am sure I can apply up to 4 coats without clumping. Nothing much in the lengthening department but it does separate my lashes so that they are defined AND volumised. This mascara was not as impressive as I thought it would be. After a full day of wear, it only transferred a tiny amount under my eyes (I have oily eye lids). Removal is very easy and not messy at all.
Repurchase? Probably not this one. Too expensive and quite ordinary. I would like to try their other mascaras though. I have heard good reviews!
