Covergirl Outlast Stay Fabulous 3-in-1 liquid foundation

Where l got it: l got this on ebay from US because this is not available in New Zealand.  I got this for USD$12.25 + $9.15 shipping (the shipping is as much as the product itself, but still, things are cheaper to buy on ebay than in NZ.. sigh.

What l got: l got a 30mL bottle of the Covergirl Outlast Stay Fabulous 3-in-1 foundation in 842 medium beige. This is a plastic bottle with the colour of the foundation shown, with a pump nozzle and a clear cap on top.

How l find it: l saw this many many times from beauty blogs and YouTube. People reckon it’s great for oily or combination skin and it is medium to full coverage.  For the first use, I used one pump on the back of my hand and I used my fingers to apply.  One pump gives me a medium cover which covers most of the pores on my nose, but the blemishes on my cheeks still needs more attention.  Another half pump on my cheeks to create a full coverage.  It dries pretty quickly into a powdery finish and it does tend to sit on my fine lines and dry skin around my blemishes.  You either have to be really oily or you need to be really well moisturised to use this foundation.  If your skin is dry, this is definitely not for you.  After  about 3 hours, the foundation is still sitting very well on my skin, it is still quite matte, but not as matte as when I just applied it.  My dry areas are actually quite dry and some foundation is getting into my lines.  At the end of the day, my foundation didn’t budge and my skin still looks good.  My oiliest area (nose) is showing some oil, but not to the point my foundation has melted.

Overall: This foundation would be great for someone with combination oily to oily skin looking for medium to full coverage. The disadvantage of buying this online is you can’t test the colours out.. Fortunately the colour I got was quite suitable to my skin tone.  The formula can be drying if you have combination/dry skin you might need to properly moisturise your dry area to prevent flakey skin.  The effects of oil control is great you need to be sure to remove all your makeup afterwards because heavy coverage and long-lasting foundation like this is rather hard to remove.

Repurchase? Probably not because it tends to highlight my lines and dry patches quite obviously because it is too drying.  I am recently quite interested in long-staying makeup that is oil-controlling.  2 other long-lasting and oil-controlling makeup I am interested in is the Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation and the Revlon Colorstay Foundation.
