I was invited to the World Organic 2nd birthday media event at the Soul restaurant and bar today (thank you Megan and Grant for the invite). We were greeted with lovely scented oil-filled room, a range of The Organic Skincare Co. and River Veda products on display and goodie bags+information sheets on each seat.
If you haven’t heard of the brand before, the World Organic storey dates back 6 generations and nearly 150 years. Megan Douglas founded the company 2 years ago and kept it a family-owned business. World Organic’s core philsophy is providing ethically produced, high quality, organic products that benefit everyone, body and soul.
World Organic is a pioneer in the use of supercritical extraction technology and has BioGro guarantee certification for their products.

Megan started the event by telling us a little bit of history about the family-brand, the difference between World Organics and River Veda, certified organic ingredients, research behind all the products and technology, supercritical extraction and the brand’s movement and vision in the future.
What I got: So in our goodie bag we all received a 100mL bottle of River Veda Honeysuckle and Rose bath and body oil (with a super soft bamboo eco hand cloth) and a 60mL tube of Honeysuckle Moisturizer.

How I find it:
Honeysuckle and rose bath and body oil RRP$43.00. This bath and body oil smells amazing! This contains 98.1% certified organic ingredients (they show this information in all of their products). This luxurious body oil is packed with nature’s restorative vitamins, minerals and plant omegas. Aromatherapy oils of Jasmine, Honeysuckle and Ylang Ylang soothes and uplift the mind, body and soil. The texture feels luxurious, but does not just sit on top of the skin. It is absorbed quickly and the fragrance lingers on for a long time. The soft bamboo eco body cloth that comes with the body oil is really soft as well! I love it.
Everyday Honeysuckle moisturiser RRP$45.50. This is made with 80.05% certified organic ingredients. This refreshing and exotic lightweight moisturiser is formulated to minimize pores and promote even skin tone (just what I need!). Extracts of Amla berry and Turmeric purifies the skin and balances oil production while organic cold pressed oils of Rosehip, EPO and jojoba hydrates and clarify. It is perfect for combination and oily skins as honeysuckle offers anti-inflammatory and antibacterial qualities.
Overall: Both products are really good! I love love love the body oil! It is so luxurious and smells great with the rose! Very soothing and relaxing. One improvement would be the bottle design, it would be great if the cap is easier to grip or even use a pump bottle?
