Where I got it: I was sent this for review, but you can also buy this at a local Kmart, Farmers or pharmacies for $16.50.
What I got: This is Matte Me mattifying lipstick base by Australis. This lipstick base is clear and goes on clear.

How I find it: Before I go for matte lip look, I always give my lips a good scrub. After scrubbing (I am using LUSH’s Bubblegum Lip scrub), I would apply a very light lip balm, let that sit for a minute of two, then wipe if off with tissue. I would then apply this mattifying lip base all over my lips (about 2 layers) then I can apply my lipstick directly over the top. I wouldn’t apply a high gloss lipstick but I would use this mattifying base with a creamy lipstick or even a matte lipstick to enforce the matte-look. I have been using Karen Murrell’s lipsticks with this mattifying base to work and they work wonderfully together!
Overall: I really like to use a product that can transform another product for example a matte top coat nail polish which can be applied to all my existing nail polishes essentially means that I have doubled my nail polish collection! As for this, I can transform the look of my existing lipsticks easily. I would be experimenting with different lipsticks, lip tints, etc. to see other effects.
