This week I attended the Flaunt PR‘s first ever blogger event at Flaunt PR’s lovely place in Ponsonby. With crazy 5pm city bound motorway traffic, it took me over an hour from work (Southeastern) to Ponsonby and parking took me another 15 minutes. I finally got there and it was worth it.
I was greeted with lovely Flauntees (Fiona looked stunning!), I was given my own name badge and a run down of the night’s competitions and ‘objectives’. There are plenty of social media going on, everyone was taking pictures, checking out clothes, tweeting, instagram, facebook, etc. There was live music by Aaron Bloomfield Music (such a hottie with a very sexy voice!), cupcakes by HeySugarNZ and heaps of other bloggers!
Bellyrubzbeauty is not big on fashion because my fashion sense is not that top-notch, but don’t get me wrong I do love fashion, but not as much as beauty 🙂 Flaunt PR doesn’t only do fashion, they also do beauty! For example they have Lifestream, Eye of Horus and Qsilica.
So, a glass of Piper Heidsieck in one hand and my phone on the other hand, I set off to venture around the rooms look check out the clothes. I picked out my favourite piece from the many collections (there were many other beautiful clothes, but we were to choose one only). My pick was the Deryn Schmidt‘s 100% Silk Fluidity Skirt. The names pretty much says it all, but it just doesn’t describe the amazing ombre red/dark pink/light pink colour!
This skirt has a flexible waist band and when I put it up against my short body, the supposedly ‘waist band’ is all the way up to my bust. So, it all became clear to me, it will be a maxi for me, not a skirt. Lovely material and lovely colours. I can imagine myself in this during spring and summer!
At the end of the night, we were all give a goodie bag to take home full of lovely treats! I devoured the HeySugarNZ cakepop the next morning hence I couldn’t take a picture of it, and I already took my Artemis green tea to work so it’s also not in my photo. I will be reviewing these individually so look out for it! Super excited with the eyeliner!
