Where I got it: I got sent this for review. These are available in 11 colours and a clear lip balm for $30. You can purchase these on Karen Murrell website, or find your local stockists here. Check out my review of 03 Pink Starlet and 09 Sandstorm here, and 06 Carnation Pink here.
What I got: After trying out some pink and tan shades from Karen Murrell’s lipsticks, I am trying out their red little number 11 Scalet.blaze. Karen Murrell lipsticks are totally natural, contains no mineral oil, no animal products, parabens or preservatives! They all contain Candelilla, Evening Primrose oil and Castor oil, they smell and taste nice (smells like cola bottle lollies)!

How I find it: Scalet.blaze is an amzaing red colour, it is not true red, but the paper packaging doesn’t really do it justice (it looks more like a brownish red). When I pulled it twist it up from the bullet, the dark red colour is really lovely (even my photos cannot do it justice, its a bit yellow-toned). The colour is buildable, but with one swipe, I can already get a pigmented red coat that is very moisturising as well.
Top: Full lips with 11 Scarlet.Blaze. Bottom: right half with Scarlet.Blaze, left half bare.
Overall: I was really happy when I received this because it was one of the colours that I mentioned that I wanted to try (post) It is creamy and soft on my lips, I don’t think I need a lip balm! This shade would suit for a night out or as a statement lip. I wouldn’t wear it to work because it is rather dark.
Repurchase? Yes! I would like to try an orange shade and a dark plum shade if they will be creating that in the future.
Have you tried Karen Murrell’s lipsticks yet?
