Where I got it: I was sent this for review, but you can buy this from all Shiseido counters and online (I usually head to Sasa.com or Strawberrynet.com for bargains). They are RRP NZD$65.
What I got: This is a 30ml UV Protection Liquid Foundation with SPF30 from Shiseido. I have this in the shade… This helps protect against powerful UVA/UVB rays with a just-applied matte finish. Non-transferring liquid formula resists perspiration, water, and oil. (80min. Water-resistant). It comes in 7 shades and comes with a separate sponge in its own plastic case (very thoughtful!)
How I find it: After my usual skincare routine, I skipped using a primer and went straight for the liquid foundation. I put a few drops on the back of my hand as I like to start out light, then build up to specific areas that needs more coverage. The formula is rather fluid and light to apply, I would say it is a medium to full coverage, but it doesn’t look cakey. It smells exactly the same with all Shiseido’s UV Protection products (I love that smell). The finish is naturally matte, it feels really thin on my skin and its not greasy or thick. I applied some Rimmel Stay Matte powder over the top to give it a more matte finish. You can apply it with the sponge provided, but I would try using my Shiseido flat top foundation brush next!
Overall: This liquid foundation is great for my combination/oily skin! The formula goes on light and non-greasy, it is easy to blend out and the natural-matte finish it gives is long-lasting as well. The shade suits me perfectly! I love having a good SPF with my foundation! This will be one of my top favorite foundation this summer!
I have previously used Shiseido’s UV protection liquid foundation before, but my skin colour has changed since. But I have been using Shiseido’s sunscreen for a long time and I have been a fan for their sun products for a long long time. My favourite would be the Ultimate Sun Protection Lotion – it gives SPF30 protection and the texture is super for oily skin.
