Where I got it: I was sent this for review, but these are available exclusively at Farmers for NZD$46.00. I was also sent the Anti-aging makeup primer for review – click here for more information.
What I got: This is a bottle of ARTDECO’s Anti-aging BB Cream with SPF15. This oil-free BB cream is a 10-in-1 BB cream that comes in 2 shades (#2 and #7). I have this in shade #2 which is the perfect shade for my skin tone. The packaging is a bit of a disappointment in a plastic bottle with a plastic lid, I would’ve expected a more sophisticated packaging (like their makeup primer and their concealer). However, the most important is the product itself!
How I find it: This BB cream has a rather light liquid formula and the cream is quite easily spread out. The cover is light and builds up gradually. I like how it has SPF 15 and is oil-free so I can wear it to work everyday without looking like I’ve put on heavy makeup. With the light coverage, I will need to use their concealer for my dark circles and my stubborn blemishes (redness is a big issue with my blemishes). I have previously reviewed ARTDECO’s concealer before – link here. I was using their concealer in number 5, this time I have their concealer in number 3. Number 5 has a yellow undertone, and number 3 has a pink undertone (photo below the BB cream swatch). The concealer is more of a medium coverage so it suits my minimal makeup look during the day at work (I don’t need to see people all the time at work).
Overall: After a day’s wear of the BB cream, I do find that this anti-aging BB cream doesn’t do well in oil-control therefore my skin gets oily probably after 3 hours of wear. I would help it out a bit by using a mattifying powder over the top after the BB cream has settled in. But by the end of the day the BB cream has almost faded by 70%. I actually don’t mind that because I am not looking for a high performance BB cream throughout the entire day at work, I look for natural-looking makeup that evens my skin tone and lightly covers my pores and this does a good job of it. I just need to make sure I blot and re-powder when I find necessary.
