NYX Butter Gloss

Where I got it: I got these lip glosses from ebay, but you can buy these online from New Zealand websites too! Like www.makeup.co.nz and www.hikosencara-nz.com,  I got these for NZD $18.08 (converted and includes shipping) for 3 colours of my choice.

What I got: I got 3 x NYX Butter Gloss in Fortune Cookie, Peaches and Cream and Raspberry Tart. I am actually quite late to jump on the bang wagon. I have been recently searching on  Youtube and google for reviews of these lip glosses and they seem to be really good products and value for money! Not to mention the range of lovely colours to choose from!

How I find it:

Fortune Cookie: This is a nude lip gloss which is very close to my skintone. It is glossy so it doesn’t white me out, nor do I look sickly. I think I could wear a nice pink shade and put this on lightly over the top for a subtle nude pink lip. The texture is amazing, it is buttery, but not sticky at all. It smells like buttery, creamy vanilla scent!! I would say this can get a little streaky (which can be quite obvious if you have pigmented lips) so you would need to be more careful when applying.

Peaches and Cream: This is a beautiful pinky peach lip gloss! The texture is amazing again, but less streaky on my lips. I could use this on its own or over a pink/coral lip stick. Great for everyday wear.

Raspberry Tart: I adore this shade! When I looked at the tube, I was expecting a really pigmented, dark purple that I would probably only be able to wear for halloween or as a statement lip. However, this is not as opaque as I though it would be, it is a little sheer which I love. It works great on my pigmented lips and adds a bit of berry tones to it. It is not streaky at all and it is really easy to apply. The texture and scent is the same with the 2 other shades I’ve got. As soon as I swatched it, I had to wear this to work today!

Overall: I am impressed with these Butter Glosses. They are really affordable, the colours range is beautiful and the texture is lovely and the scent is just delicious. It doesn’t dry out my lips and make it sticky. I will definitely buy more in the darker pinks and some red shades.
