Last week beauty media and bloggers were invited to a double launch of Karl Lagerfeld Perfume and ColorWOW. After the existing launch of the Karl Lagerfeld Perfum (link here). We had a quick break for some snacks and went straight into the ColorWow launch.
Intially I did not plan to stay, but the product display at the location was really appealing and the idea of the this product got more and more interesting. So I decided to stay and I was not disappointed!

ColorWow was just recently launched in the US mid last year and their popularity and awards were just phenomenal! Melinda from BDM Grange came across this wonderful product and decided to take that into New Zealand. So we are the first in New Zealand to see these in action and test them out ourselves. Lovely eh?
So, the question is: What is ColorWOW?? It looks like a single eye shadow palette or a brow powder with an extra large duo-ended brush. It is actually a cover-up powder for the roots of the hair. Currently, root coverups on the market are in the form of crunchy mascaras and roll-on stick formulas that are water-soluable which means if you are stuck in the rain, you will be sweating brown sweat (yuck). ColorWOW works with the positive and negative ions to adhere to your hair. The powder is weightless and will not clump up on your scalp and the powdercan withstand swimming, rain and sweat – it could only be removed with shampoo.

ColorWOW is designed to be used on dry hair/scalp so make sure you blow dry your hair thoroughly. If you do wish to style your hair, it would be best to do that before using the powder. The powder does have a natural sheen to it to mimic the natural hair so that it is not dead matte. Technically, it can be used on the brows, but with the subtle sheen of the powder, it may not be the best finish for the brows. Overall, the packaging is sleek, the mirror is of a decent size, the duo-ended brush provides different control and application results. It also comes in 6 different shades – Platinum, Blonde, Light Brown, Medium Brown, Dark Brown and Black. I got color-matched and dark brown is suitable for me.
