Where I got it: I was sent these for consideration and review. ARTDECO is available from selected Farmers stores nationwide. This Jungle Fever collection will be available in beginning of Arpil 2014.
What I got: These are products from the new Jungle Fever collection due to be released in April. I have, from the collection: Bronzing Glow Blusher, Art Couture eye shadow in #20 Golden Earth and a Limited Edition Bronzing Powder Compact SPF15 in shade 02 Bronzing Fever.
Art Couture Eye Shadow in #20 Golden Earth $14.00: Comes in 8 different shades in this new collection. This single eye shadow pan looks absolutely beautiful with the pressed fern patterns. The shimmery golden bronze shade looks amazing in the pan AND on the eyes. It is highly pigmented and the shimmer is not loose at all so it doesn’t fly away when you apply it.
Limited Edition Bronzing Powder Compact SPF15 in shade 02 Bronzing Fever $38.00: This lovely bronzer came in a very 80’s packaging and reminds me of my mum’s makeup!! The translucent tortoise shell brown round compact opens up to a lovely bronzer with jungle-pattern prints with a dragonfly. It was just too pretty to use!! The bronzer is not highly pigmented so it is very easy to control how much you use on the face. I use this with a contour brush so sculpt my cheekbones, or I use a small fluffy brush to contour my nose. The bronzer does have a hint of shimmer, but I would prefer to call is more of a sheen than a shimmer. It does not accentuate my pores, nor does it make my face have an oily shine. The shade is more on the light brown with a yellow tint which looks great on my skintone. Loving this one!!! Only downside is that the compact is rather big.
Bronzing Glow Blusher $34.00: The compact of this blusher is beautiful! It has the same pressed pattern in the product as the bronzer and it is a combination of 3 shades – a lighter pink shade, alight bronzing shade and a deeper pink. They go together harmoniously to create a nice bronzed flush on the cheeks. I use a blush brush and swirl all the colours together then apply to the apples of my cheeks and drag that up to the high points of my cheek bones close to my temples to elongate my face. The blush has a slight shimmer but it doesn’t bother me at all.
Overall: These new products from ARTDECO impressed me – from packaging to pigmentation and shade. The packaging of the Jungle Fever collection is simply stunning. THe quality of the bronzer and the blush is great and the eye shadow colour is just beautiful. You can use it as an all over colour just to highlight/brighten your bronze eye-makeup look. Check out the collection when it launches in April at Farmers! You’ll love them.
