Where I got it: I bought this from Countdown while they were on sale from $24.99 to $19.99. Just when I was deciding on which product to pick up from their line, I saw this trial box set with all the products, I grabbed it and put it into my basket.
What I got: I got a box set of the Rosehip skincare range by Essano (made in New Zealand). The set includes a 30ml of the cleanser, 30ml of the moisturiser, 30ml of the body lotion, 1.5m vial of the Rosehip oil and 10g of the night cream. The range is made in New Zealand with no parabens, sulphates, silicones, mineral oils, artificial colouring and is not tested on animals!
How I find it:
Gentle Foaming Facial Cleanser (20mL): The full size cleanser comes in 140mL with RRP$ 14.99 in a pump bottle. This cleanser is a clear gel cleanser that produces a soft lather. Contains rosehip oil and aloe vera. Cleanses gently without stripping moisture.
Certified Organic Rosehip Oil – enriched with Acai Berry Antioxidant Oil (1.5ml): The full size of this oil comes in 20ml with glass bottle. It smells a little different to your usual Rosehip oil. The stupid cap is a pain to open, but the standard bottle comes in a dropper bottle so that’s not a thing to worry about. I would use the oil at night and only about 2-3 drops for the entire face. It does take a little time to absorb, but it will make your skin look amazing the morning after.
Regenerating Facial Moisturiser: I use about one and a half pump pf this moisturiser during the day (you can use it at night too). The moisturiser is a bit on the rich side for my skin during the day, but once absorbed it feels soft to the touch.
Moisture Restorative Night Creme: This jar of night cream is quite rich and I only use a tiny bit and only at night. It keeps my skin moisturised throughout the night, but it does get a little oily for my skin. If I use this, then I won’t use the rosehip oil and vice versa. It does contain fragrance.
Intensive Hydrating Body Lotion: The creamy texture of this body lotion feels great on the skin. It is easily spread throughout the body and smells great on the body.
Overall: The set of skincare has a consistent scent (except for the rosehip oil, which has a stronger scent). My favourite pick of the range would be the cleanser, rosehip oil and the body lotion. The moisturisers are abit too thick for my skin. Overall I love the packaging and how they all contain certified organic Rosehip oil. I think this set would suit more for normal to dry skin. I will also be reviewing the new Essano Rosehip Body Oil soon so keep a lookout!
