L’Oreal Volume Million Lashes Mascara Waterproof

Where I got it: I got this from Farmers while they are having an offer of L’Oreal products – Buy 2 get the 3rd Free. So I picked this one up and the False Lash Butterfly waterproof up as well. Then I picked up the Nude Magique Eau de Teint as a gift for my mother in law. This mascara is selling for $37.99 in Farmers, but selling for $38.99 in Life Pharmacy! What a price jump.

What I got: This is the L’Oreal Volume Million Lashes Mascara in Waterproof black. The in-built excess wiper removes excess mascara for no clumps and the millionizer brush separates lashes for a fanned out lash look. The Millionizer brush has a multitude of bristles to separate lashes for a fanned-out lash effect. The elastomer applicator is ultra flexible with both long and short bristles to coat each lash evenly from root to tip.

How I find it: I curl my lashes first then apply a good coat of this mascara. The formula is not as wet compared to the False Lash Telescopic or the False Lash Butterfly. There is no excess product on the brush thanks to the excess wiper inside the tube so application is nice and clean. The brush is is rather fat, but the rubber bristles are nice and soft so applying the product to my soft lashes is easy and will not mess up my eye area. The formula does take a few strokes to build up a first coat, and it dries rather fast. The second coat is easier to apply because the lashes are a little stronger than before. I would say 2 coats will be fine otherwise it will clump and get a bit spidery. Personally I think 1 coat looks pretty good, but 2 coats will give more volume. The results are curled, black lashes that are soft and flexible.

Overall: Something that I really look for in a mascara is how well it holds the curl, volumizing and that it doesn’t run or fade to my under eye. Length is not my first priority. This mascara does hold up the curl very well and is great in the volumizing department. The formula is not as wet and glossy looking as the Telescopic or Butterfly Wings mascara and it tends to look a bit matte and feathery (not separated and glossy). During the entire day, there is no running or fading down my under eye at all so I am very satisfied. Removal will require oil-based eye makeup remover or a cleansing oil with gentle massage.

There will be comparison post on these 3 L’Oreal mascaras – False Lash Telescopic, False Lash Butterfly Wings and Volume Million Lashes coming soon so stay tuned!
