Where I got it: I got sent this for consideration. This is available for $37.50 on La’bonic’s website or from a list of stockists.
What I got: This is a 100g tube of La’bonic Organic Makeup Removing Gel. Contains 95% Certified Organic Ingredients. This gentle and effective Organic Makeup Removing Gel is made from pure organic & natural plant oils. It deeply cleanses and dissolves makeup (even waterproof), exfoliates skin to remove dead skin cells, blackheads and impurities in pores. Made in a convenient non-drip gel type, it transforms into its original oil form when massaged into the face. The unique water-soluble formula of the gel rinses completely with warm water. 100% Pure Rose oil, Rose flower extract and Rosehip extract provide the highest quality nourishment and hydration. Calming and soothing Certified Organic chamomile and calendula flower extracts make this mild cleanser ideal for sensitive and delicate skin.
How I find it: This makeup removing gel has a slight yellow tint to it and it is rather thick from the tub. I squeeze about 2cm of this gel onto my dry fingertips and massage the gel directly onto my face (also dry). As soon as the gel gets into contact with my face, the warmth melts the gel and turns into a fluid oil. After massaging, I wet my hands and fingertips to remove the gel. The gel turns into a white liquid and it easily washes off. After washing off, my skin feels a little greasy but that is easily resolved with using a facial cleanser afterwards.
Overall: This removes my foundation, brow pencil, eye shadows, blush, bronzer and eyeliner, but it doesn’t really clean out all of my waterproof mascara. There are residue around my eyes of the mascara which I have to use a cotton bud with some eye makeup remover to get it all clean. Other than that, when I combine this with my cleanser to do a double cleanse, my face is clean and fresh with no residue even with a wipe-over toner! In summary, I think this product is really interesting and easy to use. Just bear in mind that you might want to remove your waterproof mascara first with an oil based eye makeup remover! :>
