Where I got it: I bought this at my local Countdown for $10.19 (RRP$ 10.39). These are available from supermarkets, leading pharmacies and places like Farmers. I wanted to get the tin version, but I couldn’t find it. I was watching Wendy’s March favourites from Wendy’s Lookbook 2 channel on Youtube so I set out to search for it.
What I got: This is a tub of the original Nivea Creme (made in Germany). This cream is free from preservatives and colourants so it is safe to use for everyone in the family. It contains Panthenol which provides superior and long-lasting moisture with that nostalgic trademark scent. It is a nice and simple cream that has been a staple for many women and a proven effective moisturiser. This multi-purpose cream can act as a makeup remover by applying the cream and wipe off with a cotton pad.
How I find it: The blue tub is already very nostalgic even though I have used this in the metal tin previously, the plastic screw top tub is much more user friendly (I can open it when my hands are a little greasy). The cream is really thick in the tub and will not tip out. I just use my fingers directly into the tub and rub the product between my hands and apply! It takes a couple of applications because it is quite thick and not that easy to spread. I love using this on my knees, elbow and heels where I need moisture the most.
Overall: I love this cream all over again. I don’t use this on my face because it will definitely be too rich for me. As for the body, it works wonders for my dry areas. My wrinkly and dark patches (knees, elbows and ankles) are now moisturised and much softer after about 3-4 uses! I know that some people do use it on their face, but I assume if you have very dry skin or mature skin, this would be great for you as a facial moisturiser. From other reviews, I do notice that the formula is slightly different if your tub is Made in Germany compared to anywhere else in the world (Made is Germany appears to be better). Of course, its up to you which works for your skin because everyone is different! :>
Let me know if you enjoy yours and if you find any difference between Made in Germany and made in somewhere else!
