Where I got it: I got this from the MAC counter at the Smith & Caughey Queen Street. The lipglass is $47.00 and the blush is $60 (so very expensive compared to buying it from the US!).
What I got: I got the Alluring Aquatic Tinted Lipglass in Modern Lure. High-gloss, glass-like finish tinted with colour. Wear it alone or pair it with Lipstick for a perfectly glossed look. I also got the Alluring Aquatic Extra Dimension Blush in Sea Me Hear Me. A liquid-powder blush with prismatic reflections in two shimmering shades. Impact ranges from sheer crystallized light to a highly polished metallic effect. Lasts up to 6 hours. Both products are in limited-edition teal packaging dramatically accented with sheer water droplets.
How I find it:
Alluring Aquatic Tinted Lipglass in Modern Lure $47.00: This lipglass is a deep violet lipgloss with pink pearl shimmers. When swatched on the back of the hand, the pigmentation is very pretty. I have been looking for a good purple lipstick/lipgloss for a while and I think this shade will be great on my skintone and make my teeth look much whiter. The pink pearl shimmers complements the purple tint very nicely. This would look great as a statement lip with a simple black eyeliner look. The lipglass is super glossy with a glass-like finish.
Alluring Aquatic Extra Dimension Blush in Sea Me Hear Me $60.00: A long-lasting, beige pink blush that has a very buttery and creamy texture on the pan but it is a powder blush. The texture is pretty amazing and the pigment is really good. It is slightly shimmery on the pan and has a sheen metallic finish. The other shade Seduced At Sea was sold out, but the MAC sales told me that shade is not that suitable for Asian skintone anyway. Sea Me Hear Me however looks great on my skin! I am quite yellow toned and not very pale and I tan easily which makes this shade very easy for me to wear. It is really pigmented therefore a little goes a long way. I apply this with a blush brush.
Overall: The metallic teal with water droplet effect packaging is just to die for! However, the prices of MAC products are just too expensive in New Zealand. I was in Hong Kong earlier this year and I managed to pick up a Mineralized Skin Finish AND a Prolong Wear Concealor for HKD$320 which is just around NZD$50! I couldn’t even get this blush for $50. Therefore the blush is quite a splurge for me. Don’t get me wrong, I love MAC products but we just get charged so much more compared to the US, or even Asia. :<
