Where I got it: I was sent this for consideration from Botanical Road. This is available from Botanical Road for $99.90. Botanical Road stocks a number of different New Zealand brands like Antipodes, Linden Leaves, Living Nature, Plantae, etc. They ship worldwide and has free shipping if you are in New Zealand!
What I got: This is a jar of Bee Pure Bee Venom Face Mask. Our second-generation Bee Venom Face Mask uses the highest-grade New Zealand bee venom and UMF 20 + manuka honey to deliver both immediate and long-term benefits for your appearance. Immediately the micro-swelling effect of bee venom plumps your skin, which reduces the appearance of lines and wrinkles. And it’s not just a ‘quick fix’. The bee venom stimulates collagen production and skin renewal, to provide long-term rejuvenation benefits. Bee Pure Bee Venom Face Mask is as close to a miracle worker that you’ll ever get. You can use it up to twice a day, as a treatment cream; or you can use it as a mask, ahead of a special night out or occasion.
- Plumps skin to reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles
- Firms and visibly lifts the skin
- Helps with UV damage and pigmentation
- Visibly reduces pore size
- Supports long-term cellular renewal
- Dermatologically tested
- Suitable for all skin types
**Do not use this product if you have a severe allergy to bee stings.**
How I find it: The jar already looks quite luxurious so I was really excited to try it. I have no allergies with honey products or bee venom products but I have not been stung before and since this is a rather intensive mask I did a spot test on my arm to see if I am allergic (highly recommended). I’m not allergic – cool! As a treatment cream: Apply every morning and/or night after cleansing and toning. Massage cream into the skin gently, with a circular motion. Can be used under make-up as a make-up base. As a mask: Apply a generous layer over face and neck, but not too close to the eyes. Leave for 10 to 20 minutes, then tissue off excess.
Overall: The mask goes on like a cream and after about 5 minutes, it seems to dry on the skin to a matte finish, like I’ve put on a mattifying primer. There is no tingling feeling on the skin and there is no redness on my skin during or after using the mask. However, when I remove the mask, my skin feels amazingly soft and smooth! I think I would be able to use this about 3-4 times a week or as a night cream. If you have sensitive skin, you might want to gradually use it 1-2 times a week then build it up. I am looking forward to see how it reduces my pore size and help with my pigmentation!
