What I got: This is the L’Oreal EverSleek Sulfate-free Smoothing System Shampoo and Conditioner. L’Oréal Paris Hair Expertise offers salon-inspired hair care in a variety of tailored solutions that solve not one, but two hair needs at once. The formulas are 100% sulphate-free to help protect hair from further damage and keep colour pure for longer. Within the Hair Expertise range there are EverPure and EverSleek collections, each with sulphate-free shampoos, conditioners and conditioning treatments. Sulphates give shampoos a foamy feeling and have been used for decades to clean hair. Although many people enjoy bringing tresses to a bubbly state, some prefer less lathery locks and a gentler approach to caring for tresses. Enriched with natural botanicals, the formulas invigorate the senses with every wash, and leave you with soft, silky and healthy locks – whatever your hair type. Frizz and flyaway control is perfected with EverSleek. How I find it:
EverSleek Intense Smoothing Shampoo (200ml): It gently cleanses while weightlessly smoothing frizzy, unruly hair. It helps improve texture, and leaves hair beautifully sleek and manageable. The texture of this shampoo is quite thick and it lathers up beautifully without being too bubbly! A little goes a long way and it does a really nice job with cleaning my hair. Rinsing off, my hair is soft, but not greasy at all.
EverSleek Intense Smoothing Conditioner (200ml): It smoothes and deeply conditions frizzy, unruly hair without weighing it down. Helps improve texture, and leaves hair beautifully sleek and manageable. This smoothing conditioner feels really nice on the hair. It doesn’t have the slippery feel on the hair or on your hands. After rinsing off, hair is soft and smooth, but it doesn’t feel slippery like there is a coating on the hair that you just cannot wash out!
Overall: I think the long-term effects of a sulfate-free shampoo and condition system is great, but it will take a while to see results. The texture of the shampoo and conditioner is really nice and smells nice too. You will need a bit of patience to see significant results I would say. If you want really sleek and smooth hair, it is recommended to use the Leave-in Creme and Anti-frizz Serum after washing your hair and especially when you want to blow dry your hair. If you need an intense treatment, use the deep conditioner 1-2 times a week to give it an extra smoothing boost!
