Where I got it: I was sent this product for consideration along with the Clear Difference Serum and the Targeted Blemish Treatment. This BB cream will retail for NZD$83 and will be available at all Estée Lauder counters from September 2014.
What I got: This is Estée Lauder’s Clear Difference Complexion Perfecting BB Crème SPF 35 in Light. It hydrates, protects, perfects, calms and soothes skin. Perfectly complementing NEW Clear Difference’s anti-blemish treatments, this multi-function, oil-free formula evens out skin tone, while providing hydration and oil-control. Color-correcting pigments instantly neutralize redness and help conceal blemish marks, pores and flaws while soothing ingredients also help reduce the look of redness and irritation. Available in three semi-sheer shades that flatter a wide range of skin tones – Light, Medium and Medium Deep. Clear Difference is ideal for women who experience blemishes and breakouts. It is oil- free, non- acnegenic, fragrance free, dermatologist-tested and ophthalmologist-tested.
How I find it: After cleansing and toning, I would apply the Targeted Blemish Treatment where I needed to, allow for it to be absorbed and dry, then apply the Clear Difference Serum during the day (I use another serum during the night). I then squeeze a small amount of this BB cream on my fingertips and dot on my forehead, nose, cheeks, chin, neck, etc. and start spreading it out and blending it in all over my face. The texture is rather sheer and light on the skin therefore I would say even if this is in the shade medium, it would still suit my skintone (my Daywear BB cream is in Intensity 2.0 which is one shade darker than this shade). Compared to the Estée Lauder Double Wear All Day Glow BB Cream, this shade runs a bit yellow, which blends invisibly on my skin. The coverage of this BB cream is quite sheer and I would say it would be light coverage for one layer, and you can build up to a light/medium coverage. I would use a mattifying powder over this if I know I will be out and about, not in the office.
Overall: This BB cream has a lighter coverage than the Daywear BB Cream but the texture is pretty much the same. I would need to use a little bit more on where my acne scars are and apply concealor to my under eye circles and blemishes. This BB cream also has added anti-blemish effects so it is perfect for blemish-prone skin. However I do find that the Daywear BB cream seems to have a longer wear without my oiliness coming through. I love using this for work and when I am looking for everyday minimal coverage without looking to made up.
