Where I got it: I was sent this for consideration from Dermalogica (thank you!). You can purchase this online or at Dermalogica counters for $69.00.
What I got: This is a 75ml tube of Dermalogica Skin Hydrating Masque. This is a refreshing, moisturising masque to remedy dry, stressed skin. Use after cleansing to help reduce the appearance of fine lines. Unique cross-linked hyaluronic acid traps moisture to deliver time-released hydration for lasting suppleness. Helps simulate skins natural moisturizing factor while lycopene-rich tomato seed lipids help restore skins protective barrier, enhancing moisture levels for healthier, smoother skin.
How I find it: After cleansing and exfoliating I apply a smooth layer over my face and after 10 to 15 minutes I rinse it off with warm water. I use this about twice a week. This is suitable for all skin types especially dry skin. The masque has a gel-cream kind of texture that has a slight yellow tinge to it. It goes onto the skin smoothly and turns clear like a gel, slightly tacky. After 10 to 15 mins the masque is absorbed and no longer tacky to the touch. After rinsing, my skin feels soft and the next day my face feels really hydrated and supple. My dry cheeks feels balanced and no breakouts to my oily areas!
Overall: Recently I have been constantly staying in heated rooms because it is winter and I have a baby to look after. Therefore my skin has been sucked dry from all the heaters around me. I use this about 2 times a week to pick my skin up. This mask will be a life saver for dry skin, but it is also great for combination skin if you have dry patches. I love the gel-cream texture of the mask, it feels light but thick enough to give you the feeling that the mask is providing moisture to the skin. It is fragrance free and colorant free so I have no problems with irritations. I would use this after exfoliation for best results so the mask can penetrate deep down and be soaked into the skin.
