Puffy and tired eyes? Yes that’s me.
Where I got it: I was sent this as a pr sample for consideration (thank you Luci for being so thoughtful!). They are widely available in beauty salons and selected Life Pharmacies nationwide. They retail for $37 As a whole set and $29 for replacement gel patches.
What I got: This is a set of eyeSlices® including a special container (clam) and a pair of treatment pads made of patented Cryogel polymer technology. The treatment pads contains 20% active natural ingredients to help improve redness, puffiness, dark circles, tiredness and signs of ageing around the eye. This stable, unique water-based hydrogel is manufactured through a non-toxic process of freezing and thawing, which gives an instant cooling sensation on the skin and stimulates micro-circulation. The treatment pads are paraben and preservative free, these treatment pads can be used on sensitive eyes and people wearing contact lenses. Once opened they can be used up to 10 times within a one month period, as have a treatment lifespan of 50 minutes.

How I find it: The ‘clam’ case is really compact and handy to carry around. It closed down to an oval shape (equivalent to one eye shape). So start with clean and dry eye area, peel off the resealable plastic cover of the individual treatment pad, take the treatment pads out and put it over your eye area. The pads are moist therefore should adhere to your skin securely. Each pad can be used 10 times before it needs to be disposed (dry up). To help with adhesion, lay down instead of sit up and let gravity help out. Also avoid eye area movement as much as possible so try not to move your eyeballs too much. After 5 minutes remove the pads and put it back into the clear plastic tray and securely close the clam case. After removal, there is a little tacky feeling but it is not uncomfortable and there is no need to rinse off, just let the residue be absorbed. It is recommended once opened, to be used within 1 month.

Overall: The treatment pads feels really nice on my skin. During winter it will be even better if you put it in the fridge before use for cooling effects! The packaging is pretty cool and it is very travel friendly. It will be great to bring on a long haul flight so soothe dry and puffy eyes. After 5 minutes, my eye area feels soothed and immediately I felt more energized! The effects of having fresh-feeling eyes! I can’t say that it got rid of all my puffiness and dark circles, but it certainly reduced my puffiness and made me feel fresher. I can foresee that as I use it more, it will dry up more and eventually not adhere to my eye area as well.
