Where I got it: I was sent these from the pr for consideration. These new Za liner products are available from 1st October at Za counters.
What I got: I was sent 2 Gel Eyeliners (Real Black and Deep Brown), 2 Brow Liners (Natural Grey and Natural Brown) and a Liquid Eyeliner (Real Black). They all come in a plastic packaging with instructions at the back.
How I find it:
Gel Eyeliner ($17.00): New and improved quick drying gel eye liner. This pencil type gel eyeliner is easy to use, it is waterproof and smudge-proof that lasts 24hours. It provides a bold, well-defined line with intense pigments, but is extra gentle on eyelids with ultra smooth texture. Wow, I love these! I have these in BK999 Real Black and BK699 Deep Brown. They are so smooth to apply, the retractable pencil design makes it so convenient to use and store (just have to make sure you snap close the lids to avoid drying the product out). Once the gel liner has set and dried on the skin, it stays on amazingly well! Even when I remove it with the Bioderma Sensibio H2O Cleansing Water, it needed a couple of wipes to remove it (see images below). It is really pigmented and I have no issues with the pencil tip breaking off.
Brow Liner ($17.00): New retractable eyebrow liner with spooly. Comes in BR611 – Natural Brown, BR631 – Cocoa Brown, GY951 – Natural Grey and BR771 – Honey Brown. I have these in BR611 Natural Brown and GY951 Natural Grey. The first time I swatched these on the back of my hand, the pencil was super hard and there was hardly any pigment on my hand (ouch).I had to draw on a piece of paper to kind of break into the product. After drawing on a piece of paper, the brow liner is a little easier to use on the skin. However as a brow liner, I think being a little hard is more ideal compared to a soft pencil. The hardness of this brow liner makes it much easier to control how much product goes onto the brows. The little spooly with a lid is super convenient and great for travelling!
Liquid Eyeliner ($20.00): This liquid liner has a super fine fibre tip and is very pigmented. Shake the eyeliner up before use. The tip is filled with product and it draws a smooth line without dragging or tugging. It provides continuous and even pigment. I love liquid liners if they are pigmented and smooth. They can achieve a really sharp, clean line to the eyes and it just makes a big difference to my eyes. It doesn’t run after it dries, but after about 6-7 hours of wear, it does have a little transfer down to my under eye area, but the overall eyeliner is still intact. Easily removed with cleansing oil or eye makeup remover.
Overall: Love all of these products from Za! I was really surprised by the longevity of the gel-liner! I wouldn’t really say they are 100% smudge and water proof, but they sure stayed well on my eye line (I have oily skin)! You can see below how tough the gel liner is where I did a removal test with the Bioderma Sensibio H20 Cleansing Water. To remove these effectively and effortlessly, I like to use a cleansing oil like Za Deep Cleansing Oil – gentle massaging the eye area, then emulsify the oil with water, rinse off! That’s all! Best of all, it is really affordable! I use to buy Dolly Wink liquid eyeliner from Sasa.com for about $24 which is pretty much exactly the same thing (tip, pigment and longevity). Now I have a new favourite and it is so much more easily accessible! The brow liner formula is also quite similar to my favourite Shu Uemura Hard Pencil, and I love how it comes in a grey shade fits my black brow hair perfectly (not to mention much more affordable as well)!
