Memebox Special Box #52 WTF: Wonderful Treasure Finds

This month Memebox sent me their Special Box #52 WTF: Wonderful Treasure Finds. This box contains 7 full sized products. It is sold for $23 with a value of $142!

What I got: There’s really nothing quite like the thrill of uncovering new, under-the-radar beauty products, and sharing the discovery with someone you know! Same with us! Even though we secretly enjoy keeping our new beauty obsessions a little secret, it’s kind of our job to spread the love about these rookies! So, get ready to give your beauty stand a wonderful makeover with this box-ful of WTF, and get ready to be obsessed with these wonders that have already housed themselves in our makeup stands and bathrooms!

How I find it:

Skindeco Comedo AC Power Serum ($36 for 50g). Ever thought of slathering high concentrates of anticancer ginger and garlic extracts on your skin? Well, Skindeco did and came up with this unique powder serum enriched with a blend of ginger and garlic which softens roughened skin texture and removes excessive oil and dirt clogging up the pores, for a healthier, more glowing complexion.   First of all, this serum does NOT smell like ginger or garlic so don’t be put off just yet! The serum is clear with a thick liquid consistency. I use 1-2 pumps on the palms and spread it evenly on my skin after cleansing and toning. It is absorbed quickly and feels light on the skin.

Tonymoly Mr. Smile Patch ($2 for 10g). This hydrogel type patch formulated with black secret complex – blueberry, black bean, black seasame and mulberry extracts – effectively smooth out and firm up the skin along your smile lines.   Place the smile patch over my smile lines, rest for 20-30 minutes, remove and pat in the remaining essence into the skin. This gel-like patch feels cool to the skin and just looks funny. I don’t see much difference after applying it though. While using it, it is best not to move your mouth too much as it will not stick to the skin and fall off easily.

Elinette BMS Cure Cream ($65 for 50ml). Free of paraben and alcohol, this facial cream is formulated through BMS technology which boosts the function of antioxidants and minerals to stimulate skin turnover. It also works to soften, soothe, moisturise, nourish and firm up dehydrated, sagging skin. You’ll be able to experience a visual difference with continuous application of the Cure Cream.   After any serum, I apply just a small amount of this cream all over my face and neck.

MUMUR Air Waterdrop Cooling Hand Cream ($9 for 50g). A lightweight, moisturising hand cream which instantly melts onto skin with a silky, soft finish. What’s so unique about this product is that it creates dew-like water drops when massaged over skin as if a snow flakes has melted on your hands. It’s also packed with hyaluronic acid and completely free of paraben, ethanol, benzophenon, artificial coloring and artificial fragrance.  Very interesting texture and effect when the hand cream is spread out onto the skin, it looks like its waxy and water droplets starts to form. With a little bit more massaging, the hand cream is absorbed and the water droplets disappear (absorbed?). Hand feels cool and hydrated while soft to the touch.

dearberry Play Choux in 02 Lemon Choux ($13 for 30ml). Also available in 03 Peach Choux. This lightweight, skin perfecting primer helps create a smooth, even cancas for foundation. It color corrects for a range of complexion concerns, especially sallowness, dehydration and saffy skin so that makeup glides on evenly and stays trus for a healthy, even-toned start. The Lemon Choux specifically works to brighten up dull, uneven complexion while the Peach Choux works to add a healthy light-from-within glow to skin.   I love liquid luminizers! This one has a pale pearl base with slight golden shimmers. It’s packaging is similar to Benefit’s High Beam but with a plastic spatula instead of a nail-polish like brush. I love using this as a highlighter on my cheekbones, down my nose and on my brow bone. I also use this as an overall glow enhancer by mixing it with my BB cream or moisturiser. The shimmer on this formula is subtle and not sparkly at all. Smells nice too.

Bath Charm Store Dead Sea Salt Pearl Natural Soap ($6 for 100g). A 100% natural soap made from dead sea salt, pearl powder, shea butter, hyaluronic acid, jojoba oil, lavender essential oil and rose fragrance. This gentle formula helps brighten up dulled complexion and is perfect for treating troubled, sensitive skin.   This little soap looks so cute with a pearl inside the shell. This soap needs to be kept well because it is made with natural ingredients. Otherwise it will go bad easily.

Yadah Capsule Tok Soothing Gel ($11 for 200ml). The visible green aloe vera capsules sooth and moisturise skin while the yellow vitamin capsules rejuvenates and brightens up complexion as they melt onto skin. A blend of aloe vera water, green tea extracts and cactus flower extracts effectively cools and soothes stimulated skin and leaves it moist and nurtured. Also, withc hazel water and lotus extracts work together to treat and firm up clogged pores. Can be applied directly to reddened of dehydrated skin. Can be used as a body scrub mixed with sugar. Can be used as a makeup base by mixing it with a BB cream in a 2:1 ratio.   This soothing gel has a fresh scent and feels very cooling and refreshing on dry, reddened skin. This would be particularly good for a soothing after-sun gel. I applied this after a shower all over my legs and arms during a hot summer night and it hydrates my skin without giving a heavy, sticky feeling.

Overall: The products in the Superbox are all full sized products. Overall I love most of the items in this box especially the hand cream, soothing gel and the Lemon Choux! I love how there is a range of items – skincare, makeup and bodycare. Items were neatly packed with boxes and seals in the tube. Only complain would be how messy the Lemon Choux was when I first opened it. The product was all over the inside of the lid and oozing out into the box. Nonetheless, Memeboxes never seems to disappoint me in providing me with at least a product that I like, a product that I have never heard of and a product I have been wanting to try in each box!The total value of this box comes to $142! For just $23 you get a total value of $142!
