Where I got it: I was sent this for consideration. You can purchase this from your local Farmers, department stores and Health2000 stores for RRP$25.90.
What I got: This is a 100ml tube of Trilogy’s Instant Bronzing Gel. Enjoy a safe, all natural and easy to apply bronze glow with this quick-drying tanning gel. Delivers instant colour on application enhanced with light reflecting mineral mica. Use once for an instant golden glow or daily to build a bronze tan lasting 2-3 days. For best results apply after exfoliating skin. Carefully blend over the areas you wish to tan and allow to dry thoroughly. Wash hands immediately after use to avoid staining. Please note: does not provide UV protection.
How I find it: This bronzing gel smells amazing – sweet like caramel and it has shimmering particles to make your skin glow! The gel is in this yellow-brown color with golden shimmers. I think a good preparation is the key to a good and long-lasting self-tan so I would exfoliate, shave and moisturise the night before, then the next day after a shower and pat dry, I would apply a decent amount of this bronzing gel onto my hands, work it evenly and apply onto my skin. I do one area at a time and take my time to make sure I have not missed a spot or over-apply any spot. After application, I give it around a minute to fully dry up just in case it gets rubbed off on my clothes. With one application, my skin is shimmery and has a healthy sheen and a very slight tan. The next day, I applied another layer to build up the tan gradually and I love the effect! Oh, and I make sure I wash my hands with soap afterwards!
Overall: This bronzing gel has a really strong scent that lingers for a long time and it might not be preferred by everyone. So make sure you go and have a sniff of the testers available. I love the gradual tan that it gives so that I don’t look 3-4 shades darker all of a sudden! The gradual tan is very much suitable for people who have little or no experience with self-tanners because it gives a very natural gradual tan even if you missed a spot it is not so noticeable! If you want a darker tan, just build it up over a few days or reapply once the first layer is dried. One thing I would comment on this is the shimmers – there is quite a large amount. On the legs, it would looks pretty nice as it gives it a healthy glow, but it would rub off onto my couch, my car, handbags (if I use it on my arms), clothes, etc. Therefore I would prefer a little less shimmer.
