Where I got it: I was sent these from Evolu to trial and review. Evolu products are available from Farmers.
What I got: I was sent a 125ml bottle of their Regulating Gel Cleanser, a 150ml bottle of Facial Toner, and a 75ml tube of Balancing Overnight Cream. Evolu skincare is founded on one woman’s personal vision: the key to lasting beauty is natural balance. Kati Kasza’s belief in the power of plants to transform the skin inspired her to create this simple yet potent botanical system, blended from pure plant and marine actives and New Zealand spring water. Every Evolu formulation is customised to nourish and restore balance, returning your skin to its beautiful best. Evolu products do not contain animal ingredients or genetically engineered extracts. They also DO NOT TEST ON ANIMALS!
How I find it:
Regulating Gel Cleanser ($39.99 for 125ml). A daily essential when skin is prone to excess shine and uneven texture, this natural gel cleanser combines a targeted blend of balancing actives to help refine the appearance of pores and regulate your skin’s natural oil levels. The natural foaming action will gently and thoroughly wash away grime, makeup and impurities. Regular use will help reduce breakouts and promote a smoother complexion. This gel cleanser has a really thick yet easy to spread gel texture. I simply wet my face, squeeze a good amount of this gel onto my hands, then I rub it between my hands to make a nice foam. The gel is a little difficult to get a lather or heaps of foam, but the cushioning texture of the gel makes it really gentle to use on the skin. Slight herbally scent is easy on the nose and does not linger on the face. Rinses off easily with water, leaving my skin soft. No greasy feeling nor the tight, dry feeling.
Facial Toner ($34.99 for 150ml). Formulated to gently balance the skin back to its natural pH level, this naturally hydrating mist is the essential follow-up to regular cleansing. Its botanical actives will leave the skin soothed, refreshed and balanced, optimising the bene?ts of subsequent moisturising. Polysaccharides+Enzymes+Omega-6 essential fatty acids from Aloe Vera help hydrate, soften skin texture and soothe irritation. Rosa Gallica essential oil promotes capillary repair and moisture retention, especially assisting dry, inflamed and mature skin. Witchhazel tones, reduces puffiness and stimulates circulation. After drying my face, I hold this bottle about 20cm away from my face and use 2 pumps of this facial toner. The spray bottle give a wide and fine mist that doesn’t leave any water drops on my face or clogs up the spray nozzle. This toner feels really good on the skin and I use this sometimes to refresh my skin or to hydrate before I touch up my makeup. There is a herbally scent to it as well and this may linger just a little longer. Sometimes I use my hands to pat in the toner for faster absorption.
Balancing Overnight Cream ($54.99 for 75ml) This is the ideal hydrator to put to work while you sleep. Its intensive action will saturate deeply with moisture and nutrients, assisting the natural renewal that maintains your skin’s radiance and elasticity. Selected plant and marine actives, including Borage, Irish Moss and Spirulina extracts, help regulate skintone and provide a balance of essential elements for a smooth, even and healthy complexion. After the toner is absorbed, I squeeze a small amount on my palms, spread it between my hands and apply it onto my face. The cream doesn’t feel greasy or too thick on my skin. It feels very comfortable on my skin and smells really gentle.
Overall: The range of skincare is gentle on my skin and it concentrates on balancing my skin without being harsh or over-stripping my skin of its natural moisture. The range of products does not cause me any irritation at all and it helps keeping my oily patches balanced, thus reducing my pore size and breakouts! I love the balancing overnight cream as I can also use it during the day because it is not greasy and not heavy at all! The facial toner is also great for when I want a refreshing mist to hydrate my skin! Evolu also has a range for sensitive skin and anti-aging!
