Where I got it: I got it on the Paula’s Choice AU website. All anti-aging products were all sale so this was $46.75. Usually it is RRP AUD$55.00. It comes to a total of NZD$56.81 including shipping and exchange rate. I ordered it on 12/3/15 and the products were received on 25/3/15. Pretty good.
What I got: This is Paula’s Choice Resist C15 Super Booster. Resist C15 Super Booster is a concentrated, light-as-water liquid treatment product designed to supercharge your Paula’s Choice serum, or it may be used alone. A blend of 15% stabilised vitamin C (l-ascorbic acid) at a pH of 3.0, antioxidant vitamin E, ferulic acid and peptides repairs visible signs of ageing and stimulates collagen production for smoother, brighter and firmer skin. Vitamin C also helps protect skin from environmental damage as it evens your skin tone. You’ll see dramatically younger, healthier and more radiant skin in weeks! This product is for anyone who wants to boost the results from their Paula’s Choice serum or who wants to experience the benefits of vitamin C when combined with other proven anti-ageing ingredients. The formula is suitable for all skin types and also appropriate for breakout-prone skin.
How I find it: Directions were to apply once or twice daily after cleansing, toning, and exfoliating. Dispense 2–3 drops and add to your favourite Paula’s Choice serum, or use alone and follow with moisturiser where needed. For maximum potency, it is advised to using C15 Super Booster within three months of opening. If applied in the morning, it is essential that you protect your skin with a sunscreen rated SPF 15 or greater. May be applied around the undereye area. Store in a cool, dark place, below 25°C (75°F). Keep out of direct light. Personally, I use this in the morning only with my Paula’s Choice Antioxidant Serum because I use the Clinical 1% Retinol Treatment at night and I don’t want to mix these together. I squeeze a small amount of the serum on to the palm of my hand, then I mix 4-5 drops of this C15 booster and apply directly onto my face. You can use this alone, mixed with a serum like I did or layer it on top of your favourite serum. I always wear a sunscreen at least SPF15.
Overall: The booster is in a liquid form which is almost like water. It is slightly yellowish which is normal and it will darken in time as it is exposed to air. This thing smells like the water in canned corn – strange but I don’t mind it and it I have been using this the second day I got it and have been using it every day. I have been using this for 4 weeks now and I do see an improvement in the overall skintone, but my acne scars would still need some more time. No irritations on my skin at all. I intend to finish this within 3 months because this does have a shelf date of 3 months. After a month I have only managed to use up about 1/8 of the bottle – this little bottle lasts! The Vitamin C will start to turn into a darker yellow or even an orange-y brown colour. I will update this again at the 2nd and 3rd month mark!
Paula’s Choice have so much resources on their website and youtube channel to teach you how to put together a skincare routine with their products, etc. It is very useful!
