Where I got it: I was given a small 7 day sample of a couple of Lancôme foundations as a foundation promotion was happening at Lancôme counters.
What I got: I got some samples of the Teint Idole Ultra 24hr, Teint Visionnaire, Teint Miracle and Nude Miracle in a few different shades.
How I find it:
Teint Idole Ultra 24hr (shade 02). Up to 24-hour wear for divine, lasting perfection. Following 8 years of research, Lancôme unveils its first ultra-long wear foundation for lasting perfection. With its new EternalSoft technology, Teint Idole Ultra 24H defeats all challenges. Complexion stays perfectly flawless and unified. Never cakey. In perfect affinity with the skin, Teint Idole Ultra 24H is irresistibly comfortable. It’s new, blendable and fresh texture leaves the complexion perfectly smooth, velvety matte with no powdery effect. The full coverage you need – flaws, pores, redness and all imperfections visibly disappear. The velvety finish you love for ultra-long lasting perfection and comfort. Oil-free. Fragrance-free. Transfer-free. Non-comedogenic.
I usually don’t wear foundation for over 13 hours and because I have combination/oily skin, foundation will always fade and move on my skin even with my longest wearing foundation Estee Lauder’s Double Wear. The texture feels a little thicker than the Teint Miracle and gives a more medium coverage that can be build up to a full coverage. It provides a natural matte finish and feels soft to the touch. The shade is quite neutral and I like it. I have a slight yellow undertone, but generally I can wear neutral or warmer colours. This shade 02 suits me perfectly. The wear is OK, but not as long wearing as my Estee Lauder Double Wear. However in saying that, it doesn’t give that fully matte, full coverage and slightly heavier feeling that the DW gives. This is a much more lightweight on the skin and looks and feels more natural. I guess I don’t need full coverage and long wearing all the time.
Teint Miracle (shade 01, 02, 03, 035). Light is not only reflected on the surface it is also naturally re-emitted from deep within the skin. This is skin’s inner light. At its peak, this surface radiance and inner light constitute skin’s aura. A Lancôme exclusive which associates: A new generation of bioptic pigments combined with classic mineral pigments. Together, they reproduce the appearance of inner light of perfect skin, by recreating the intensity and pristine freshness of its radiance. A unique liquid light essence maximizes skin’s surface radiance.
In the glass bottle, you can see silvery streaks which are light-reflecting pigments. I give this a bit of a shake to mix the foundation thoroughly then I apply the foundation with my fingertips. It has a really pleasant floral fragrance and I love it! It gives light to medium coverage and a natural glowing finish. Shade 01 is obviously much lighter and has a slight pink undertones. 02 and 03 and 035 however is the right shade. 02 is more of a neutral shade, 03 and 035 has a more yellow undertone to it. As I mentioned above, I have a slight yellow undertone, but generally I can wear neutral or warmer colours. In this case, the foundation is sheer to medium and it brightens to skin so applying a foundation that is a little lighter or darker doesn’t seem much different on me. The wear of this foundation is not quite high. It rubs off on tissues and by the afternoon, my oily skin kind of melted most of it already. Reapplying is easy because it doesn’t become patchy and doesn’t feel thick or cakey on the skin. Just blot, rehydrate the skin and reapply.
Nude Miracle (shade 01). An ultra-lightweight, liquid-to-powder formula foundation that provides light to medium coverage and a natural matte finish. With its groundbreaking soft-focus technology, Nude Miracle blurs imperfections, absorbs oil, and blends seamlessly for a second-skin, no-makeup look. The revolutionary liquid-to-powder foundation formula is 25 times lighter than traditional powder and contains special raw materials to absorb oil. It is so comfortable that 100 percent of women tested forgot they were wearing it. The result is minimized signs of fatigue, lines, and wrinkles for perfectly smooth skin.
This foundation is pretty much like LOreal’s Nude Magique, Giorgio Armani’s Maestro foundation and YSL’s Fusion Ink foundation. It feels like water and provides a powder-like finish. I apply this using fingertips and work area by area because it dries down fast. I would say that it gives only sheer coverage and a matte finish. It is great for oily and combination/oily skin. If you have dry skin, it will probably not be moisturising enough for you. The shade 01 was colour-matched by the lady at the Lancôme counter. It has a neutral to yellow undertones and this is a perfect match for my skintone. It feels super light on the skin – almost like not wearing anything! Looks super natural and great for everyday wear. If I do have to touch-up, it would need to be touched after around 4 hours after first application, then around 3 hours after touching up.
Teint Visionnaire (shade 010). What if a foundation could transform your skin in 4 weeks? Two simple steps to correct dark spots, pores, and fine lines. Step 1: Skin Correcting Foundation (SPF 20) naturally evens out the complexion flawlessly and visibly improves pores and fine lines day after day. The foundation is concentrated in LR 2412, the active ingredient in Visionnaire serum. Step 2: Precision Spot Corrector: visibly corrects spots, dark circles and all types of imperfections. Moderate to full coverage.
This is a treatement foundation the combines the benefits of the Visionnaire serum. I have only tried the foundation, but not the spot corrector. The shade 010 seems to be a great match as it has a slight yellow undertones in a light-medium intensity. On the back of my hand it looks just right but my hand is darker than my face. Buildable coverage that is also not too thick.
Overall: I love the texture of the Nude Miracle which is super lightweight, but it lacks coverage. I love to use it everyday to work where I don’t really need full or even medium coverage – just even skintone is enough! For better coverage, I prefer the Teint Miracle – it gives a slight glow to the skin making it looking fresh and it doesn’t feel greasy or heavy on the skin. However, the coverage is still so-so if I want to cover my blemishes and acne scars. I don’t really feel much about the Teint Idole Ultra 24hr or the Teint Visionnaire as they both do not cover my acne scars very well and with my combination/oily skin, I don’t see the Teint Idole 24hr lasting very long on me. I also feel that they are also both a little heavy on my skin.
The shade selection though, I think Lancome is quite suitable for Asian skin as I haven’t come across shades that have much pink undertones – they are either neutral or with slight yellow undertones.
