Where I got it: I was sent this for consideration. You can purchse Remington Perfect Curls 2-in-1 from places like Noel Leeming. RRP$99.99.
What I got: This is Remington Perfect Curls 2-in-1. It has1 9mm and 32mm curlers in one unit with ceramic technology and protective heat resistant cover that gently guides the hair. It has an easy spring action clip to sercure the hair end. Heating takes only 30 seconds and it can heat up to 200 degrees celsius. With 3 temperature settings, there is more contorl in styling your hair. Safety features such as automatic shut off and automatic worldwide voltage.
How I find it: The first time I use this was with day-old hair so there is some natural oils and my hair is not that frizzy. I usually keep my hair up in a pony tail to keep it out of my face. My hair is generally straight with frizzy, curly baby hair close to my forehead (pesky things!). First things first – turn on the curling iron and select medium or high (my hair is quite stubborn), then I started off my sectioning my hair into 2 parts – left and right. Then I take smaller sections of the hair and put it slot to secure it. Then just wrap the hair around the barrel with the help of the guide ( I like to use the 35mm barrel for a bigger curl). Wait about 10 seconds then release the hair. I let the section loose and just cool by itself and head onto the next section. First time using it, it was a bit of a mess, I couldn’t get my head around how to wrao my hair around the barrel with my really bad hand-eye orientation so I burned myself a bit. After a few gos, I was getting the hang of it. But my arms did get a little tired so I didn’t do very well for the hair at the back.
Overall: The Perfect Curls 2-in-1 is quite a cool idea where you can have 2 different barrel setting without different attachements – just twist the top and push down or let it pop up. The guide however was designed to make the hair follow easily but I find that it restricts the size of the section of the hair and also restricts the curl rotation of the hair. For example, I like my curls to curl outwards instead of inwards around my face, but the guide makes all the curls curl one way. However, that is just my preference. The 3 heat setting is good and I need to use ether medium or high heat because I have really stubborn, thick hair. Love the 32mm barrel as it gives me a very natural curl for my medium length hair.
