Sukin Super Greens skincare

Detoxifying Face Scrub (RRP $13.99 for 125ml). A blend of kale, spirulina and parsley promote a healthy, glowing complexion while jojoba beads and bamboo gently exfoliate the skin. Micro jojoba beads and ground bamboo offer the skin a gentle polish to remove dirt and impurities. A blend of kale, spirulina, chlorella and parsley impart detoxifying antioxidants and vitamins on the skin, while pineapple, licorice and lime peel promote a clear, radiant complexion.  A burst of cranberry provides an invigorating scent to refresh the senses.

This scrub has really fine beads to gently exfoliate the skin and it has a light cranberry scent that is quite pleasant. This scrub has a creamy base and is gentle enough for everyday use, but I mainly use it at night or every second night because I also use a Clarisonic.

Detoxifying Clay Masque (RRP $20.50 for 125g). A clay based masque infused with kale, spirulina and parsley to promote a clean, healthy and glowing complexion. Kale, spirulina, parsley and chlorella offer a super green blend of detoxifying antioxidants and vitamins to promote healthy, youthful skin.  Avocado and Baobab lock in moisture while goji berry encourages a  dewy complexion.  A burst of cranberry provides an invigorating scent to refresh the senses.

A really fine clay mask that is suppose to detox the skin and provide antioxidants at the same time. I quite like clay masks, but don’t like the ones that dry and cracks which over-dries your skin. This mask dries down quick and you only need to apply a thin layer all over the face. It does not sting my skin at all and I did not have any allergic reactions. I have been using this about once 1 week because I can be quite lazy with masks nowadays with a baby in the house. It is gradually helping with my pores, blackheads and generally removing dead skin cells.

Sukin Super Greens Detoxifying Clay Masque

Facial Recovery Serum (RRP $20.99 for 30ml). A refreshing daily facial serum with natural actives of kale, spirulina, parsley and acai fruit extract to restore a healthy glow. A refreshing daily facial serum with detoxifying green actives of Kale, spirulina, chlorella and parsley to offer antioxidants and vitamins to restore a healthy glow. Grape seed oil, avocado and vitamin E assist in locking in moisture for a dewy complexion, and added acai berry promotes youthful looking skin. A burst of cranberry provides an invigorating scent to refresh the senses.

This serum has a lotion-like texture which is more like a fluid moisturiser than a serum. It has the same cranberry scent and the texture is soft and the consistency is fluid. Goes onto the skin smoothly without feeling sticky or thick. However, I feel like I could even skip moisturiser for my combination/oily skin as I love this texture!

Sukin Super Greens Facial Recovery Serum

Nutrient Rich Facial Moisturiser ($RRP 13.99 for 125ml). Enriching actives of kale, spirulina and parsley, combined with antioxidant rich acai and goji extracts for daily hydration that promotes a healthy glow. A light weight daily moisturiser enriched with actives of kale, spirulina, chlorella and parsley to promote a healthy looking complexion. Acai and goji berry extracts impart antioxidants to the skin while rose hip, avocado and jojoba lock in moisture. A burst of cranberry provides an invigorating scent to refresh the senses.

This moisturiser is rather thick. It comes in a pump bottle which is strange I thought… I only use about half a pump for my face because this pump is pretty much body-amount! Only half a pump or just over half a pump is enough for the face AND the neck. It has an almost body lotion/cream consistency, with the same cranberry scent. I apply the moisturiser with my palms and fingertips. It doesn’t take a while to absorb, but once it is, it doesn’t feel heavy or greasy at all. My skin just feels moisturised, but doesn’t feel sticky to the touch. This is great for normal to dry skin.

Overall: I think Sukin is onto it with using superfood ingredients in skincare – just like many new skincare products out there starting to use chia seeds and kiwifruit seeds. The range of product is easy to use within an existing skincare routine – like the scrub and the mask. It doesn’t come with a cleanser in the range and that is something I kept wondering why – does it mean you can use the scrub daily for morning and night? Sukin products are also paraben free, does not test on animals and certified organic. Overall, I had no sensitivity issues with all of the products, but there were no immediate amazing effects after using yhe skincare range. I love the mask as it does help with getting rid of dead skin cells and helps clean up my pores.
