What I got: This is a 100g tub of Skinfood Black Sugar Mask Wash Off. Skinfood Black Sugar Mask is a very popular wash off mask that restrains black sugar element. It contains rich mineral deposits, vitamins and glycolic acid, for eradicating aged cuticles. This moisturising mask guarantees enhanced absorption of the following skincare products. Skin is re-energized and hydrated. Vivid and firm is is resulted. This mask washes off every speck of dirt and makeup while leaving skin super pliable and moisturised! It effectively softens and removes blackheads, deep potted dirt and oil from the pores.

How I find it: After cleansing, I use a small spatula to scoop some of this black sugar mask out from the tub and spread it all over my face with my fingertips. It is quite thick and grainy so be careful not to rub too hard against the skin. It smells nice and sugary and it almost feels sticky and oily on the skin. I was expecting a finer sugar granules and a lot less dense in the pot. When I applied it, I was a little worried that it will be oily on my skin as it feels a little hard to spread around – I kept adding more to the skin to avoid rubbing to hard as I try to move it around on my face. Once its on my face, it stays on and doesn’t drip or fall off my face. When I rinse it off, I was really surprised how fresh and smooth my skin feels! No sticky feeling, no residue and feeling soft and smooth. Best of all, no redness and breakouts!
Overall: I have been loving Skinfood products and this sugar mask is no disappointment. I love the texture and how it washed off cleanly and makes my skin very soft and smooth. However, if you have sensitive skin, it is probably best to wait for the sugar granules to slightly melt before massaging. I have also been going through the q-depot website and I have so many things in my shopping cart – from skincare to makeup they have it all!
