Where I got it: I got this from Sasa while I was in Hong Kong a few months ago. This was about HKS$109 I think which is about NZD$20. This is not available in New Zealand yet, but I think you can get it online.
What I got: This is a 30ml tube of the Maybelline Pure BB Mineral Watergel in 01 Natural Beige. It claims to provide 8 skin benefits in 1 step – intense hydration, smoothness, even skin tone, natural radiance, reduces redness, reduces pore size, clarity and UV protection. Also comes in 02 Medium Beige.
How I find it: This is a really lightweight BB cream with SPF35 PA+++. I would usually use a sunscreen with under my foundation because I usually use a light layer for light to medium coverage. In this case, this is a very lightweight bb cream with SPF 35, I can use this directly without a sunscreen underneath. I can use a decent amount without making my face look caked on or too heavy. I use my fingertips to apply but you can also use a brush or a beauty blender to blend out. I think this is certainly buildable but you would only get a medium coverage before it gets a bit too thick. It doesn’t have much oil control so I would powder my t zone as well.
Overall: I was attracted to it when it says ‘watergel’ so I bought this one instead of the Pure BB Mineral Moist 24. I love the lightweight texture of this BB cream it is almost a gel-cream texture. It is buildable from light to medium coverage. The finish is semi matte and quite natural looking. Really easy to blend and work with without drying or setting too fast. However there are only 2 shades to choose from, I guess it has been designed to be sold within the Asia countries and we have similar skin tones anyway. Nice BB cream, but not the best. Coverage to my acne scar is average and the longevity is also quite average. It pretty much started to move by about lunch time (3-4 hrs). But it doesn’t break me out which is great.
