What I got: This is a 100ml tube of Manuka Doctor ApiNourish Polishing Facial Exfoliator. After the winter months, our dull-looking complexion is in great need of being refreshed and invigorated. This exfoliator has the ability to pamper and polish your skin by resurfacing and most importantly of all – hydrating! Regular exfoliation with Manuka Doctor ApiNourish Polishing Facial Exfoliator improves the results of your current skincare routine and helps visibly brighten and rejuvenate your skin, bringing a new youthful appearance. It does wonders for a dull complexion by restoring your natural glow. The age-defying creamy formula cleanses the skin by removing makeup and reducing oil and impurities that build up daily, while protecting the skin’s moisture levels to create visibly brighter, silky smooth skin. The presence of Sweet Almond Oil, which is rich in vitamin E, A, B1, B2 and B6, effectively balances moisture in dry and irritated skin and is easily absorbed helping to firm the epidermis and fighting off signs of ageing to help create more radiant looking complexion. Another added bonus is of course Manuka Doctor’s hero ingredient of Purified Bee Venom (PBVTM), which is delivered into the skin to create age-defying protection.
How I find it: First time using it, I have actually double cleansed my face already (cleansing oil to remove makeup then cleanser for getting rid of all the remaining dirt and grime). Second time, I used it on a full face of makeup (foundation, brows, mascara, blush, etc.). With damp hands and face, I squeeze about a 10mm diameter of the product onto my damp hands and gently massage all over my face. I use fingertips because the granules are a bit big, so using fingertips will be more gentle. I like to use a scrub or exfoliator every 3rd day and at night time because I don’t really believe in mechanical (physical) exfoliation every day as it may aggravate my skin/breakouts and make my skin really sensitive. If you have sensitive skin, use a very light hand and only use it 1-2 a week because the granules are a little on the harsh side.
Overall: Creamy base exfoliator but I find that the granules are a little bit too harsh on my skin. I would prefer to remove my makeup before I use this exfoliator because I just don’t feel comfortable with just using an exfoliator to remove makeup. After washing off, my skin does feel smooth, but if I do have breakouts, I would need to be careful to avoid them, otherwise it can make it worse.
