Where I got it: I was sent this from Kiehl’s for the celebration of their 10th year anniversary of the Dermatologist Solutions range. Kiehl’s is available from the flagship boutique in Britomart, Smith and Caughey’s, Ballantynes and Kirkcaldie & Stains. This limited edition 75ml is available from 7th October 2015.
What I got: This is a limited edition 75ml bottle (usually 50ml) of Kiehl’s Dermatologist Solutions Powerful-Strength Line-Reducing Concentrate. Powerful anti-wrinkle treatment with 10.5% Vitamin C. It claims to:
- Clinically-demonstrated to improve overall skin texture, tone and radiance while reducing the appearance of lines and wrinkles
- Provides anti-oxidant protection and exfoliates skin to reveal healthier-looking skin
How I find it: I have tried this before from a sample sachet from Kiehl’s and this product was part of the skincare regime I was recommended by the staff there. After cleaning, toning and the treatment essence, I use about 2 pumps of this concentrate all over my skin. On first contact with my skin, it is slightly warm and it seems to melt into my skin. It is not greasy, thick or slippery. It has a smooth texture and it feels great on the skin. Then I apply my usual moisturiser and sunscreen if I am wearing this in the day.
Overall: I love this big bottle of concentrate and the dark coloured bottle with the black label is just so sleek! The pump is easy to press and the product doesn’t squirt out. I love the primer-like lotion texture. It is absorbed almost instantly without leaving any residue on the skin or any greasiness as well! It feels slightly warm right on the application but that fades within seconds (it’s the Vitamin C). I think this really does make a difference to my skin in terms of improving texture – it is smoother. However in regards to line-reducing, I have yet to use this more to see hard results I think. These things takes time and consistency. I tend to use this at night before my moisturiser, but if you want to use it in the morning, I would recommend a sunscreen over this to protect the skin after the application of some vitamin C. Anyway, sunscreen is good for you on a daily basis. 🙂 Definitely go and try out the texture, I’m sure you’ll love it!
