I have been following Kiehl’s NZ instagram and know that they are launching the new Daily Reviving Concentrate so when I got the invite I had to go! I am already a big fan of their Iris Extract Activating Treatment Lotion and their Midnight Recovery Concentrate so their Day Concentrate is top on my list to try!
The launch was at a really beautiful cafe in Mt Eden – The Garden Shed. The place was decked with sunflowers, beautiful displays of lavender, fruits, products and most of all FOOD! Greeted with a healthy detox smoothie and plenty of breakfast cereals, chia puddings, bircher muesli was available on the tables.
I met with Christina again from the Kiehl’s flagship store in Britomart! She is such a lovely person and I also got to meet Lee, the Brand Manager for Kiehl’s. They shared really good skincare advice for me and for my husband and as always offered to give me samples for any products I would like to try. Kiehl’s has never been shy to give samples for people to try and I think that is good for skincare companies. If people cannot try before buying, it is often hard to justify purchasing something expensive but it turns out not suitable for their skin. Then they get a little intimidated to try other products from the brand. So give a little and you will get your customers coming back! OK, enough of my rambling on.. back to the new product.
The Daily Reviving Concentrate is basically the day version of the Midnight Recovery Concentrate (I’ll call it MRC for the mean time). The background of these concentrate is that the skin should ‘revive by day’ and ‘recover by night’. One of the main skin concerns for women around the world is that their skin is tired and looking tired. Skin will look dull, sallow and lack-lustre. This is where Kiehl’s Daily Reviving Concentrate comes to help!
It is recommended to be used after a serum and before a moisturiser but I do see people mix it with their moisturiser for that extra boost. The concentrate helps to support skin’s daytime defence with Ginger Roof Oil to provide skin cell protection and reduce inflammatory, Sunflower Seed Oil to increase hydration in the skin and reduce the appearance of redness, also Tamanu Oil to lock moisture into the skin for that healthy looking skin glow!
We got to take home a goodie bag each with the new Daily Reviving Concentrate, a sample sized bottle of the MRC and 2 scented bags filled with dried flowers – Revive by Day and Recover by Night.
I will be trying the Day concentrate along with my MRC for a few weeks and I will check back with a review post to let you guys know how I like it! So far, the texture is really light and fast-absorbing – almost like a dry oil and it has a really like citrus and ginger scent.
