Where I got it
I was sent this for consideration. Billion Dollar Brows are available at billiondollarbrows.com, specialist brow bars and beauty clinics from 2 November for $52.00 (valued at $68).
What I got
This is Billion Dollar Brows 60 Seconds to Beautiful Brows. Having brows on point can help you look fresh and signs of tiredness and ageing. This kit includes the BDB Brow Powder in Taupe and the Dual Ended Brow Brush, can add a pop of colour to your brows helping you achieve brow excellence.
How I find it
I haven’t really used brow powders before because I am quite lazy and I prefer brow pencils like my Shu Uemura Hard pencil. However, when I do have time, I like to use my Anastasia Beverly Hills Dip Brow Promade because it gives me a much more defined and strong brow that lasts the whole day! So this brow powder is quite new to me. With a clean brush that comes with the kit (I hardly have much brow hair so I don’t really need to brush), I swirl the brush lightly in the powder and tap off the excess – you only need a small amount to build up the colour. Then I start at the bottom part of the start of my brows and line it all the way to the middle part. Then I do either a slight angle down from the arch to the end or I create a flat brow shape with no angle. I then pick up a little bit more powder and work the brush from the top of the arch to the tip, tapering it. I then use whatever is left on the brush to work it into the brow – moving it against the growth of the hair. This will help the brow powder get to the skin under the hair and fill in the brows more naturally. After my brow is all filled in, I use the spoolie on the other end of the brow brush to tidy up the hair and remove excess powder off my brows. I don’t use a concealor or white shadow to create that really defined brow look you see on instagram because I like my brows looking natural and effortless-looking.
Overall
The taupe shade looks really nice on my dark brown/black brow hair. It looks really natural and totally buildable. I would recommend start with a little and build your colour gradually, then you won’t need to worry about working the product out if you go too dark. The brow brush is not too soft and not too firm – it is just right for brows! It picks up the product and is a great size to work with my brows. The spoolie on the other side is handy as well because I always use it to finish off. This brow powder set provides really natural looking brows without the harsh lines, but unless you are going for that look, this could do the job too! It just takes a longer time and more working the powder into the brows and lining the edges with a concealor or a bone colour to define the edges. I even think this taupe colour would be a great crease colour!
