What I got: This is LA Girl Velvet Hi Lite Contour Stick in Cashmere. Contouring made easy with the new Velvet Contour Stick. Collection includes 3 highlighters, 10 blushes and 3 bronzers. This luxurious formula is paraben free with added jojoba seed oil, shea butter, cocoa seed butter and grape seed oil . The soft powdery finish blends beautifully – perfect for contouring!

How I find it: Initially, I thought this would be your normal shimmery highlighter on a stick, but it is somewhat different. It has a sort of creamy consistency and minimal to no shimmer at all. The formula is quite sheer, almost like a really sheer highlighting concealor. I simply apply my foundation, and then I glide it along the top of my cheek bones, down the bridge of my nose and a little bit on my forehead between the brows and some on my cupid’s bow. You can also use this in the triangle area under your eyes to highlight that area. Then I just blend with my fingertips. This is great because you can highlight your skin without adding much shimmer like usual highlighters do or looking cakey like some highlighting concealors do.
Overall: Cute chubby stick design that is easy to hold and use. I love the non-shimmer, sheer formula that is easy to build and blend. The price is really affordable but to see that there is only such a small amount of product does seem a little rip off. Will continue to use this as an alternative to shimmery highlighters when I am going for a more matte look.
