Where I got it: I got this from Mecca Cosmetica in New Market in the weekend along with another Ren product. I also asked for a sample of Kate Somerville’s Exfolikate Acne and a sample of the GlamGlow YouthMud. I got this for $89.
What I got: This is Ren’s Glycolactic Radiance Renewal Mask in a 50ml vacuum pump bottle. A cult favourite peel/mask with a potent active complex that renews and refines skin. It dramatically improves skin tone and radiance while minimising pore size, reducing congestion and smoothing the appearance of fine lines. A blend of Glycolic, Lactic, Citric and Tartaric Acids, sourced from extracts of Pineapple, Passion Fruit, Lemon and Grape, work with Papain from Mexican Papaya to deeply exfoliate, decongest and purify the skin thereby smoothing skin texture and reducing the appearance of fine lines. Omega 3 and 7 nourishes, soothe and repair the skin to ensure skin remains calm and soothed.

How I find it: After washing my face at night, I pat dry my skin and I use about 1 full pump of this to cover my face and jaw line (an even thin layer would do). I use one pump at a time and the texture of this mask is almost like honey or jam. It is sticky but bearable. You don’t need to apply too much so I suppose some people might be ok with just one pump to cover areas of concern. I like to get about my jaw line as well as that’s where I have some blemishes and scarring I need to address. Wait for 10 minutes for it to work then wash it off with the help of the cloth that comes with the mask. It’s just a simple muslin cloth, nothing too special.

Overall: Ren has really interesting packaging – the product is not in the tube itself by in a soft plastic ‘bag’ within the tube. So when you press the pump, the plastic ‘bag’ shrinks to bring out the product at the nozzle. I have seen so much hype on YouTube that this is one of the best chemical exfoliating mask that literally removes dead skin cells to reveal smoother, brighter and renewed skin. It helps with wrinkles, fine lines, discolourations, scarring, etc. Nice mask but nothing really amazing after the first use. I did see my skin is brighter and smoother but not what I was expecting I guess. I used this 2 days after and after the second application, I can see that my skin so much more radiant and smooth! My enlarged pores and acne scar looks better and my skin feels smoother and softer! I guess I had so much dead skin cells so that it needed 2 use to see visible results! I am really loving this mask and I intend to use this twice a week to keep seeing this good result and keep my skin in tip-top condition. So far, I don’t see any allergic reaction and no redness on my skin. No discomfort during or after the mask so I feel really relaxed and safe using this.
