What I got: This is a bottle of Paula’s Choice Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid. This gentle, leave-on exfoliant rapidly unclogs pores, diminishes the appearance of wrinkles and improves skin tone for unbelievably smooth, radiant skin. 2% BHA unclogs & diminishes enlarged pores, green tea extract calms redness. Targets: anti-aging, blackheads, enlarged pores, redness, wrinkles. Suitable for all skin types.
Paula’s Choice Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid
How I find it: After cleansing, I put about 5-6 drops of this BHA liquid onto a cotton pad and sweep it over my face. I have used too much previously and the liquid stayed on top of my skin for a long time before totally absorbed and it was slightly tacky. So I find that less is more and this stuff is potent so you don’t need to pile it on. After it is absorbed, I apply my usually treatment essence lotion and serum and moisturiser. Then an absolute must is SUNSCREEN! I always apply a sunscreen that is at least SPF 30 PA+++. Your skin gets a little sensitive after using acids like this so it must be protected from the sun with sunscreen.
Overall: This is a game changer for my skincare routine. After 2 applications, I can actually see and feel that my blackheads have shrunken down dramatically. As gross as it sounds, they use to kind of poke out from my pores and I can actually feel them with my fingertips, it is super annoying and even using a Biore pore pack did not work for those hard to reach places! I think this BHA liquid combined with my Kiehl’s Rare Earth Deep Pore Cleansing Masque really did make a difference for my blackheads and breakouts. Just once a day helps clean out my pores and now my blackheads pretty much all gone. All that’s left for this product to do a reduce my pore size which is going to take longer and more diligent use of skincare products to keep the pores clear. This is my HOLY GRAIL product and I will definitely grab another bottle before I run out. They do have another one that also has anti-aging properties and I might give that a try and see if I can get 2 birds with one stone.
