- Camellia Oil:rich in essential fatty acids that mimic skin’s own lipids, it reinforces the structure of skin’s protective barrier.
- Citrus Essential Oil: thanks to its nourishing properties, it also aids in skin’s regeneration process.
The signature of the Absolue foundation range, golden glow is that unique incredibly sophisticated light that Lancome seeks to perfect through each and every Absolue product. Lancome Absolue Sublime Rejuvenating & Nourishing Cream Foundation SPF26 PA+++ (New). Comes in 6 shades: 100, 110, 130, 150, 170, 210. RRP$160.00. The first ever serum-in-cream foundation, this is the historical reference to the Absolue foundation range! It represents the alliance of the skincare power of a serum with the ultimate comfort of a highly desirable creamy texture. Precious Oils and Proxylane at concentrations identical to a serum guarantee nourishing and re-plumbing actions for a remarkable beautifying effect, even with no make-up.
I usually don’t use cream foundations because I find them a little too moisturising for my skin type. So this is pretty much the first time I tried a cream foundation! The consistency is pretty thick in the tub, but when I scooped it out with the spatula, it feels really smooth and almost gel-like. I applied it with my fingertips and blended it in with my fingertips as well – it feels amazingly smooth and not sticky or greasy at all! It feels almost like a mousse consistency on the skin. It matches my skin tone pretty well I guess its because it is more tailored to Asian skin tones (170 is the second darkest shade and I’m not even that tanned!). I only need 2 really small scoops of this foundation to cover my entire face. The coverage is light to medium which is really buildable without looking cakey or heavy looking. The finish is really natural and demi-matte. My skin feels soft and smooth and it blends out so easily! I would have to say that this foundation is well worth its price because it is such high quality and you only need a small amount for the whole face. Think about the skincare benefits too! I set this with a no-colour translucent powder although I didn’t really need to anyway.
At a lunchtime check on my skin, my usually oily t-zone is still under control, the foundation has not settled into my fine lines or pores or any dry areas (blemish areas). My discolourations are still covered up pretty well despite using no concealor or colour-correcting products!
Lancome Absolue Sublime Radiance Smoothing Loose Powder in 02 Apricot (New). Also, comes in 01 Pink. RRP$160.00. The ultimate finishing touch to set makeup and make it last all day long, while subtly neutralizing any last areas of unwanted shine. And because it is Absolue, this loose powder does so much more. Infused with precious oils, Proxylane, adenosine, mica pearls and gold pigments, it continues the radiance-reviving effects of the foundation. It amplifies skin’s radiance by ideally diffusing light and bathing skin in a beautifying golden tone. Formulated with the soft-focus smoothing system, t diffuses light in all directions to blur pores and imperfections as well as optically smooth skin. Thanks to this complex of specific powders, application softness and glide are optimal. Its high-quality velvet puff allows just the right amount to be applied, with no excess cover or visible powder effect. A finish that’s absolute in its perfection.
This loose powder is so finely milled it feels light as air and goes onto the skin so softly! You only need a very small amount and I like to pick it up with a big fluffy brush instead to set my face makeup. The shade is basically translucent so it doesn’t really affect my foundation shade at all. However, it does set my makeup in place especially my oilier t-zone areas. It creates a natural finish to the skin that is not too matte.
Lancome Absolue Sublime Radiance Compact Foundation in 170. Comes in 6 shades: 100, 110, 130, 150, 170, 210. RRP$140.00. Serum-oil compact foundation. A selection of precious and highly performing oils. Delicately infused, as concentrated as a serum. Large vertical mirror, expert formula, adjustable coverage applicator, secure magnetic closing system and ‘stay clean’ cover.
The packaging and texture of the compact foundation just screams luxury and elegance. From the beautiful mirror-effect box it comes in and the velvet pouch it comes with to the flip-over compartment, the packaging is stunning and keeps the product safe and secure. The foundation has a really smooth texture that glides onto the skin effortlessly without clinging onto dry patches. I like to use the sponge applicator that comes with it to apply the foundation. Results are natural looking, even-toned skin that feels weightless. It is more of a light coverage that is certainly build-able with a natural/matte finish.
Lancome Absolue Sublime Golden Glow Makeup Base (New). RRP$110.00. A few drops of light and freshness to magnify skin and prepare for the Absolue routine: this is the mission of this surprising, “water-like” crystal gel base. Smoother, plumper and more radiant, skin is prepared for foundation and ready to ideally benefit from all of its perfecting power.
Lancome Absolue Rejuvenating Essence Foundation. Comes in 6 shades: 100, 110, 130, 150, 170, 210. RRP$140.00. A true range best-seller, this fluid foundation was launched in 2015, representing the quintessence of the fusion between Lancome’s skincare and make-up expertise. Once again, its formula is concentrated in skincare active ingredients from the Absolute range: precious oil and Proxylane.
