Where I got it: I ordered this on q-depot for USD$18.75. I ordered this on 22/9/16 and it arrived direct from Korea on 1/10/16. I bought this along with 2 other makeup bases and a highlighter. Reviews of those will be out soon!
What I got: This is Etude House Precious Mineral Magic Any Cushion SPF34/PA++ in Magic Mint (15g). To keep skin flawless, it cares each skin’s weakness via multi color cushion with whitening effect. “Moisture-Lock Fomula’ is applied to prevent getting dried. Contains Pearl mineral powder and Arbutin to keep skin clear and whitened, also Adenosine for anti-wrinkle treatment. Also comes in Pink or Peach.
How I find it: I have been searching for a colour-correcting cushion and I know that Lancome does one, but they are still available in New Zealand yet. I have actually seen this in the Etude House store while I was in Hong Kong last year. Koreans have been using cushions for a couple of years now and they have come up with all sorts of products in cushions such as colour-correcting base, blushes and even fragrance. I can say they are the best when it comes to cushions.
This one is a colour-correcting base in mint green colour to combat redness on the face. It provides a dewy and moisturising base that is easily applied and a little goes a long way. If you have fair skin, you will look pretty natural just wearing this on its own. I have fair/medium Asian skin and even on my skin tone, this looks way too pale on me. I applied this with the sponge that it comes with and I also use the same sponge to lightly blend it all over my face. I apply only to where I have redness and that’s mostly the centre of my face.
This cushion is a lot denser than most other cushion foundations I have used before therefore it doesn’t look like it has much product in there at all. But with the pigmentation intensity it packs, you certainly don’t need a lot of product in one go. On the skin, it almost looks like a white base, but it really does such a good job in correcting my redness! Mind you, I can never walk out the door with just this on my face – I must apply at least a BB cream if not a foundation, otherwise I look really ghost-like!
Overall: I think Etude House has done a pretty nice job, I really like this product – it really DOES something. I have tried other mint/green coloured base before and they seem to just disappear into my skin without correcting my skin tone at all. You really can’t be scared to see that a makeup base has slightly changed your skin tone (lighter) because they are base products, you will need to apply foundation. Its job is to correct and provide an even-toned base for the foundation to look flawless. I also love how moisturising it is without being greasy. It doesn’t dry out the skin or catch onto lines. However, you need to be a little careful on pores and make sure you blend it well because it does kind of get into the pores and can make them look whiter and more obvious than before. Love this cushion compact, I might see if I will pick up the other colours too!
