What I got: This is a bottle of the Manuka Doctor Drops Of Crystal Beautifying Bi-phase Oil. Drops of Crystal Beautifying Bi-Phase Oil is the first of three products in this new and exciting Drops of Crystal range from Manuka Doctor. This nourishing oil, with the lightness of a serum, is designed to brighten, plump and leave your skin with a gorgeously radiant complexion. The dry-finish facial oil allows no waiting time between application and absorption which makes it easy to add into your daily skincare regime. It also contains a botanically derived lightening blend to even out skin tone. The water and oil phase sit separately but when combined, work harmoniously together. Once shaken, the phases emulsify to create a weightless and bubbly oil, that feels luxurious once applied to the skin.

How I find it: I have been loving facial oils when winter hit New Zealand a few months ago and the love is still there now that we are pretty much stepped into summer. This bi-phase oil comes in just at the right time as it is much lighter than an all-oil based facial oil. To use this, you need to shake the bottle to mix the 2-phase system and I like to pour a few drops to my palms and rub them together and apply with upward motions to my skin. The bi-phase oil is lightweight therefore very suitable for combination skin even if you are combination/oily and in the summer time. I use a little bit more at night time because I love to feed my skin with the goodness during the night when my skin cells regenerate and it needs all the good stuff it can get! Then depending on the condition of my skin and the humidity in the air, I do not apply a moisturiser at night, and just a sunscreen over this in the morning.

Overall: This facial oil nourishes my skin and doesn’t leave a sticky or oily residue at all. It looks a little oily on the skin for about 1-2 minutes and that goes away quickly and my skin is glowing! You can use this in your dry areas or mix it in with your moisturiser or foundation to give your skin a good boost of hydration if you have dry skin. I have also used this on my elbows and cuticles and it just works wonders as well!
