Where I got it: A few months ago I was at a Clarins event and this was given to us in a very generous goodie bag. I have finally got around to trying this cleanser for a few weeks to give a review. You will be able to find this at your local Clarins counters for RRP$58.00.
What I got: This is a 200ml bottle of Clarins Anti-Pollution Cleansing Milk. Soothing cleansing milk lifts away make-up and impurities with spa-like efficiency. Clarins’ blend of softening and toning plant extracts—including Alpine Herbs, St. John’s Wort, Sweet Almond, Marshmallow and Linden—helps maintain skin’s perfect moisture balance for optimum comfort and radiance. Leaves skin feeling soft, supple and perfectly refreshed.
How I find it: I like to use a cleansing milk in the morning just because I love using something gentle in the morning I have less dirt and grime to remove after a night’s sleep. At night I prefer a foaming cleanser after removing my makeup. So in the morning, I wet my face and squeeze an adequate amount of this cleansing milk on my hands, spread it between my palms and start massaging my face with my fingertips and my palms. This cleansing milk is quite fluid instead of a creamy/thick so if your hands and face are quite wet, the milk pretty much melts straight away and it feels like nothing much to work onto the face. So I prefer to just gently dampen my face and my hands – not too wet. That way, the product doesn’t melt too fast. Removal is easy and I will usually use a damp washcloth or cleansing sponge to help remove the cleansing milk, then rinse my face.
Overall: This cleansing milk is really gentle and it leaves my face soft and supple. It rinses off clean without leaving residue or that I feel that I need to clean again, but it does leave my skin feeling slightly moisturised. After cleansing, I use a toner to sweep over my face and there is no residue on the cotton pad at all. It has a subtle floral fragrance and a slight minty green colour to it. Great for normal skin to dry skin. I quite like the bottle design where the top of the cap is flat and you can store it tipped upside down to get the last drop of product!
