Estée Lauder 2017 Chinese New Year gift with purchase

Where I got it: I got this from my local Estée Lauder counter at a Farmers store where I purchased 2 products from them. The offer was originally for when you purchase at least one of their Nutritious Vitality 8 range which is the one in the red packaging and also the range of which the GWP is based on (obviously to celebrate CNY). The Estée Lauder SR was kind enough to offer me the gift even with no purchase of that range. So I bought their new ANR Eye mask ($92) and their new Revitalizing Supreme Global Anti-aging Wake Up Balm ($99).

What I got: This is a generous 6-piece gift in a red soft PVC toiletry bag. It contains 5 skincare items and a lip gloss which makes this gift pretty impressive in my opinion. So the pack comes with a Radiant Vitality 2-in-1 Foam Cleanser, a Radiant Energy Lotion Intense Moist, a Rosy Prism Radiant Essence, a Radiant Moisture Cream, a Pomegranate Glossy Lip Balm and a sample size Pure Colour Envy Sculpting Gloss in 230 Jealous Blush.

How I find it:

Radiant Vitality 2-in-1 Foam Cleanser (30ml sample, full-size 125ml for $68). The Nutritious Collection: See a new look of active, radiant health. Nutritious helps Detoxify irritants. Neutralise external irritants. Infuse skin with moisture and energy. It’s a daily dose of powerful vita-nutrients for your skin. A total approach to beauty, powered by pomegranate. HOW TO USE: As a foaming cleanser: AM and PM, massage gently over wet skin, then rinse. As a deep purifying mask: twice a week (or as needed), massage over dry skin and let it work for two minutes. Rinse.

A creamy foaming cleanser with a light pleasant fragrance. It lathers up nicely and cleanses the skin thoroughly. It can be used as a mask where you leave this on the face for 2-3 minutes and rinse off. Nothing too special with this cleanser though.

Radiant Energy Lotion Intense Moist (30ml sample, full-size 200ml for $80). Our high-performance, energising treatment lotion with our proprietary Pomegranate8 Complex deeply hydrates and prepares skin to receive the maximum benefits from the Nutritious formulas that follow.

You can use this lotion essence 2 ways – either with a cotton pad or directly pat it into the skin with palms/fingertips. It is semi-fluid so I prefer using a cotton pad to wipe across my face. It hydrates the face without leaving a sticky film. My face doesn’t feel tight after this and I will follow on with a serum and then moisturiser. This lotion does smell quite strong of alcohol so I’m not so sure how hydrating it is to my skin.

Rosy Prism Radiant Essence (4ml sample, full-size 30ml for $132). 97% of women said their skin looked more radiant instantly. Nutritious Rosy Prism. This lightweight essence is clear with a hint of honey to it. It has a serum-lotion texture that is quickly absorbed into the skin. Skin feels fresh and hydrated after application with little tackiness which fades within a minute. Cannot really justify its effects for reducing the look of yellowness in the skin tone as it will take a much longer time of use to see full effects.

Radiant Moisture Cream (15ml sample, full-size 50ml for $108). In just 8 days, 99% of women felt their skin look more plumped and radiant.

This cream is not too thick which works well with my combination oily skin. A slight hint of pink, this cream has a faint fruity scent that is quite pleasant to use. Moisturising but not greasy or too heavy. No SPF, so you will need to use a sunscreen over this during the day.

Pomegranate Glossy Lip Balm (7ml sample, full-size 15ml for $35). Enhances your natural lip colour with a healthy, soft pink glow.See an amazing vibrancy-a healthy, translucency with this dynamic, dual-action collection. Powered by our potent anti-oxidant blend of Pomegranate Extract, Mangosteen, Super Berries and more.

This small little lip balm will great for my little handbag. The glossy lip balm is rather thick with a fresh pomegranate scent. It is a clear balm with a slightly glossy look. It is a bit on the sticky side but it doesn’t cause my lips to peel or crack.

Pure Colour Envy Sculpting Gloss in 230 Jealous Blush (4.6ml sample, full size $54). Comes in a total of 16 shades. Glide on this hydrating gloss for smooth, lasting shine that starts with a subtle hint of colour and builds to the intensity you desire. Immediately, lips are moisturised with no stickiness. Unique applicator embraces the curves of your lips, letting you shape and colour with a precise definition. Each shade comes in the luminous, dimensional finish that suits it best: Shine or Shimmer.

It is a nice strawberry pink gloss with subtle golden shimmer and a sweet scent. The finish feels a bit thick but not sticky. The gloss lasts quite long but tends to build up around the edges which bother me a bit. The handy purse size makes it easy to carry in my small cross-body bag.

Overall: The Estee Lauder Nutritious range wasn’t too impressive, to be honest. I really like the energy lotion but the alcohol content is quite high to the point you can smell it as soon as you pour it out. I’m not too sure how it works with being moisturising/hydrating with so much alcohol content? Otherwise, I also really like the moisturising cream which gives my skin the right amount of moisture without causing breakouts, redness, irritation and greasiness. The entire range is mainly targeted for revitalising the skin and making the skin look more radiant and fresh.
