Clinique Bonus Time Gift with Purchase

Where I got it: This bonus time gift with purchase was only available in my local Life Pharmacy (not Farmers). I purchase the 2 new Clinique products (Fress Pressed 7-day system and the Virtu-Oil Body Mist). This is an 8-piece gift set with 4 skincare products, a body product and 3 makeup product.

How I find it:

Take The Day Off Makeup Remover for Lids, Lashes & Lips (50ml). Totally tugless, two-way formula speeds the departure of hard-to-remove eye and lip makeups. Even waterproof mascara. Safe for contact lens wearers. Ophthalmologist tested.

This is a very nice size of eye makeup remover for travelling and I will most likely keep this little bottle for the future. The oil-based makeup remover effectively removes even waterproof mascara and that is something I need in a makeup remover because I only wear waterproof mascara. I have used Clinique’s cleansing oil and cleansing balm from their Take The Day Off collection and I love them all so this is no exception.

Liquid Facial Soap Mild (50ml). Step 1 in Clinique’s 3-step skin care system. Gentle, effective for dry combination skins. Leaves skin feeling fresh, clean, comfortable.

I have previously used Clinique’s 3-step system and their cleanser is my favourite. It has a nice liquid consistency and lathers up easily and cleanses effectively. It rinses off with no residue. Skin feels clean and not too dry.

Sculptwear Lift and Contour Serum for Face and Neck (8ml). An immediate tightening effect. In 8 weeks, a visible 40% loft all along the jawline. With PolySculpt Technology and continued use, what gets toned, stays toned. Use after 3-step system.

This serum is quite lightweight. There’s no immediate results on me because you will require continued use of these serums to see results, therefore I won’t be commenting about its skincare benefits here, but I had no irritation or breakouts from using this serum.

Repairwear Sculpting Night Cream (15ml). Now visibly firm, Lift and Contour every night. Light yet luxe cream-gel strategically sculpts, tones and skins the appearance of the jawline. Smooths neck and chest. Creates luminosity, improves skin’s texture.

I was expecting a sort of heavy textured thick cream, but this is more of a gel-cream formula that is quite lightweight on the skin and is absorbed quickly without making the skin feel sticky or greasy. This 15ml tub of night cream looks more than it sounds as you don’t need much for one application. Definitely great for travelling. My skin felt moisturised and smooth.

All About Shadow Trio. Coordinates palette creates the look you want, from natural to dramatic. In one smooth stroke, eyes get their fill of luscious, creamy colour. Long-wearing, crease and fade-resistant.

A cute packaging for their eyeshadow trio. The trio palette comes with a duo-ended sponge tip applicator. The lightest shade is a shimmery nude shade that can be applied to the entire lid, the middle one is a matte coffee shade that is a nice crease or transition shade and the dark matte brown is a great shade for the outer corners. The texture is creamy and the colours are pigmented even when picked up my a brush or a sponge tip applicator.

Chubby Lash Fattening Mascara (4ml). Takes lashes from fine to lusciously pump. Our volumising formula fattens up lashes without weighing them down. Clump, flake and smudge proof for a full bodied look that wears all day. Rich colour intensity coats to a new level of bold. Big brush, big change.

Two cons to this mascara even before I use it: it is not waterproof and the brush is way too big for me. Both reasons are simply my preference for mascaras therefore by no means this mascara is bad at all. The formula separates my lashes and coats them evenly. Like I said, unfortunately non-waterproof mascars ALWAYS runs and melts on my eyes so I think I will be giving this away.

Long Last Lipstick in Bamboo Pink (3.8g). Long wearing colour. Sleek, moist shine. With built in comforters to protect and soothe. Just the thing to brighten a smile.

As a gift with purchase, this shade is quite universal but can be a bit of a boring shade. It has micro-shimmers and almost looks a little frosty on my lips. The full-sized lipstick feels moisturising with a natural finish. This would be a great autumn shade suitable for everyday wear.

Deep Comfort Body Butter (50ml). This intense, immensely rich hydrator envelopes and soothes. Wraps even the driest skin with penetrating, replenishing moisture.

Really moisturising body butter that leaves your skin supple and moist. I love applying this after a shower to my elbows, heels and knees. I also apply this before I go to bed to give my dry areas the moisture they need. No fragrance, therefore my hubby can use it too!

Overall: I always aim to purchase or stock up when there is Bonus Time to get the best value for money. The smaller sized products are great for travel and if you have already tried something in the gift you can always pass it onto someone else so that they can try before they buy. These gift packs always reminds me of how good a cleanser or a moisturiser was after I’ve moved onto another product and sometimes I go back and buy the full size. Plus you get a really cute toiletry bag too!
