Estée Lauder Pure Color Love Lipstick

Where I got it: I got this from my local Life Pharmacy when they were having a gift with purchase offer PLUS and 15% off when you purchase 3 or more items. This lipstick is RRP$48.00.

What I got: This is the Estée Lauder Pure Color Love Lipstick in 310 Bar Red. This is the shade that Kendall Jenner wears on the Estée Lauder Pure Color Love Lipstick adverts and one of her favourites. Fun, daring lip colour with good-for-you ingredients that help smooth lips and renew moisture. 

In four fashion-forward finishes: Cremes, Chromes and Shimmers have a deliciously balmy texture. Mattes are bold, vibrant, rich and long-lasting, feel weightless. Keep that “just applied” look for hours.

How I find it: The lipstick comes in a small little box with the shade name and number at the top and the case for this lipstick is quite interesting and pretty. The usual bullet appears to be encased in a clear resin cap with the shade name and colour at the top (or bottom?). You pull out the round end and that’s where the lipstick will be. It can be a little difficult to pull out when you have slippery hands though. Twist it up and you will see a double flat edge instead of the traditional slanted edge lipstick. You get 3.5g of product and it is super pigmented. I was a little skeptical with the first try so I prepped my lips with a bit of lip balm because that always helps for highly pigmented and bold lipsticks, I can just sheer it out by blending it to make it less bright or matte.

Overall: This lipstick is super pigmented and the shade is just amazing! Using a lip liner to line the lips really achieve a flawless, perfect red lip. You can achieve a perfect matte red lip that is bold and pigmented or you can dab lightly and create a diffused look by blending out with fingertips. The formula is matte, but at the same time creamy when applied. It doesn’t dry out the lips like a liquid lipstick would but at the same time this doesn’t last as long and is not transfer-proof. Definitely worth adding to my lipstick collection and I think getting a good quality red lipstick is crucial when you need to bold, statement lip for a night out, an event, etc. Did I mention that the packaging looks amazing??
